Charming Rustic Getaway by Carmel River We recently stayed at this rustic rental home by the river, and it was exactly what we needed for a quiet, nature-filled escape. The location is absolutely stunning—tucked away in a peaceful setting with the soothing sound of the river just steps away. Mornings on the porch with a cup of coffee and evenings by the fire pit were highlights of my stay.The host (Courtney) is so friendly and very supportive throughout the stay, always checking to see if we needed anything.The house is just a few minutes away from Carmel village, and we ate the juiciest strawberries and avocados for a quarter of the price in LA metro. Definitely a gem worth coming back for.

Tranquil retreat What a beautiful and beautifully situated place this is. Bright, peaceful, quiet, and airy, this home was a lovely retreat for us during a busy wedding weekend. The home has plenty of space, lots of light, and a lovely, meandering riverside garden with wonderful terraces and decks overlooking the Carmel River. We appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, and the lovely bath products were a treat. And the location was perfect—6 minutes from the winery wedding venue! Thank you for a wonderful weekend.

Amazing Property and Host Perfect! Our group of four had an amazing time at this beautiful property. It’s obvious that Courtney puts her heart and soul into making sure that her guests have an amazing stay in her picturesque hideaway. Courtney began communicating ideas for our trip long before we arrived. Her thoughtful suggestions were spot-on and added value to our vacation. We will definitely return!

Tranquility Leave the City behind, indulge in the quite peaceful lodge on the River. Plenty of things to do and see within 1 hour drive in any direction and the small-town charm of the Valley was a nice change of pace. We were able to do all our favorite things we have done in the past from this location with very little time wasted driving. The Monterey Aquarium, Cannery Row, Big Sur, 17-mile drive and of course our favorite restaurants and some new favorites added to the list. So much more depending on what you like but Hiking, beaches, wineries and quaint farmers markets it's all there to be explored with little effort The host gives you a lot of information so even if you don't know the area you will have plenty of information to review to make your stay more enjoyable.

The perfect location for a relaxing getaway! We had a girls' getaway at The Lodge. It was the perfect setting for relaxing and catching up with a glass of wine by the river. The house was very comfortable and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The scenery was beautiful and there was tons of out space for enjoying the view of the river which is right at the back door. The host was available for any questions that came up and even sent some great suggestions for local spots to visit during our stay. We are definitely planning to return to The Lodge!

A lovely sanctuary! We've been to Carmel dozens of times but had no idea this little piece of heaven was just down the road. Carmel Valley is NOT Carmel - it's warm and sunny and quiet, much more natural, super green (even in August) and teeming with birds. "The Lodge" is full of character, easy to hang with the group or find a quiet place to be alone. All the furniture is comfortable, and we had all the creature comforts we needed. The Carmel River is literally in your backyard! We sat on the back patio all day and watched the river slooooowly meander by - when our dogs weren't splashing around in it, that is. We enjoyed the kayaks and inner tubes as well. Courtney, our host, was quick to respond and provided a ton of useful information about the area. Cannot recommend this home highly enough, and we will certainly be back!

Absolutely Beautiful! I have stayed at all sorts of beautiful vacation rentals in amazing areas, and this is the only one that I have ever wanted to revisit. The cabin, charming, I loved the decor, rustic elegance is what comes to mind. So many fun details. The house was completely stocked with everything. The property manager was very responsive and accommodating. You couldn't ask for a better host. The location and property simply magical. I can't wait to go back.

Cozy in Carmel Valley The property was really sweet and cozy. When we were there, there was a huge hail storm but we were able to watch from inside with all the big windows and the fire on. The bunk room is a fun little touch, and the gals that slept in it said it was the best sleep of their life. It gets total darkness and really peaceful. The owner was really responsive and helpful during our stay. We had a few questions, and she was also proactive in reaching out to us to make sure we were all set. Our favorite part was the "fun hat" cabinet. :-)
