Holiday Inn & Suites Raleigh-Cary (I-40 @Walnut ST)

The Breakfast was excellent, location is great.

I had planned for a two-night stay but unforeseen circumstances happened and I had to leave a day earlier. When I addressed this predicament to the front desk, I was asked if I wanted a receipt and opted for an email receipt. After a few hours, I never received the email receipt and called the hotel to which the same gentleman from checkout answered and said he would be sending out all email receipts in a second. 24 hours passed and still no email receipt and now the system has a problem. Tuesday came, and I noticed I got double charged for my stay in two different amounts. I have been calling the hotel non-stop for an answer on this issue and no one has picked up the phone. *35 attempt calls later*

If I could leave a zero I would!!! DIRTY rooms -we had to have housekeeping come change the dirty sheets who told us of how this location was very close to being shut down because of there scores. Against our better judgement, we decided to stay because we booked the hotel to be close to a concert for our anniversary. Upon returning that night, we had no AC!! It was 97 degrees that day. When asking to rectify the situation, the general manager told us to go to bed in the hot room or drive( after we had been drinking-obviously why we got the room so we could enjoy our time and be responsible ) We had to have someone drive over an hour to come pick us up. Our anniversary was ruined to say the least!! Frank, the general manager told me that there is no one above him and is by far the rudest person I have ever dealt with!!! IF we would have drove after drinking and killed someone, I hope the Holiday Inn recognizes that they would have been held accountable. TERRIBLE CONSIDERING WE WERE A MEMBER AND ONLY STAYED AT HOLIDAY INNS.

I checked into this hotel 3 Sundays ago. I parked in front of camera on the side of building. Went up to the room, came back down and went to Walmart. Went back to room and was there about an hour. About 5:30 or so I was going to get some dinner. Someone had tried to break in my driver's side and passenger's front windows were cracked. My back passenger's window was busted and someone had opened my center console and glove box. I didn't want to have my vehicle parked there overnight so I talked to front desk person who said she would see about getting me a credit for the room since I didn't stay. I have called 5 times, leaving messages with person who answered the phone each time and last time was this Monday I left a voice mail on managers phone. Still no reply. I have an office in Cary since 2015 and have stayed at this hotel over 100 times. Yet they don't think I'm important enough to return my calls. Not a good way to run a business.

I had a really great experience. Staff was really helpful. Especially since it was my first time in North Carolina. They took real good care of me to make my stay very special. Especially Jamal Bird, Danielle the receptionist, and Ms Denise. I’ll never forget them, they were awesome.

Hotel was clean, but needs updating. I tried to grab coffee from the station in the lobby, but there wasn’t any. Also, there wasn’t any caffeinated coffee in the room for the Keurig. The front desk attendant was grouchy and seemed to hate dealing with guests. The first night, our sleep was disrupted by loud metal banging and screeching that lasted 15-20 minutes at 2AM. I don’t think we will stay at this location again.

Room smelled moldy and dank. After it started raining, the floor around the window became wet. The hotel offered several other rooms. All smelled similar. We choose the best we could with a fry floor. Shocked that the breakfast was $14 per person. We were short on time, we chose to pay and it was below average compared to other Holiday Inn’s. This was a big extra expense for a family of five. We were delayed leaving a few minutes while they refilled one tiny coffee pot provided for guests. We’d suggest you look for other options, although we’ve seen a bit worse in our travels.

Went for North Carolina soccer showcase tournament. Anesha at the front desk was super helpful the whole time. She called us to tell us the room was ready. She helped our team with multiple requests. Absolutely 5 star!!

We stayed 3 nights here. Of all the Holiday Inn's we have stayed at, this one is at the bottom. The night staff are very friendly and helpful! The day shift are borderline rude, when asked about breakfast which I was told was complimentary, it's not, $13.99. Another guest inquired about the Continental option, and she continued to argue with her about the price. One elevator out of the two worked the entire time, which meant long waits. The room is itself for a King is very small, one desk chair. The bed was comfortable. I wish I had realized how noisy the road side is in the morning,even though we were on the top floor. We come to this area frequently and given a choice won't stay here again.
