Hotel Ape Regina

This is a beautiful place to stay solo or as a couple. It's nestled in the quiet mountains with the most beautiful panoramic views. The owners are so welcoming with a calm, generous energy I felt very comfortable there alone which is always important as a woman travelling by yourself. The bus stop i right outside the hotel and is very regular for trips around Ischia. The food at the hotel is extremely fresh, super clean rooms with everything you need. It's a beautiful place to stay and I hope to come again.

Amazing hotel, I couldn’t fault it, from the hospitality to the cleanliness of the room and all the facilities. I would highly recommend this hotel. I will definitely be going back. Giuseppe and Katatina are amazing hosts, they made sure the customers had the best stay they possibly could.

I would recommend Hotel Ape Regina to ANYONE. This was one of the only places my fiancé and I stayed where the pictures perfectly portrayed what you are getting. It is a beyond gorgeous facility with incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful staff. From calling us a taxi when we couldn’t find the place, to bringing us free bruschetta outside of kitchen hours because we said we hadn’t eaten lunch, to upgrading our room to an ocean side view simply because the room was available, Giuseppe and his staff made our stay in Ischia magical. I cannot say anything more about their incredible hospitality and beautiful hotel.

Hotel Ape Regina is a hidden paradise on the island. The Mattera family are very friendly and helpful at all times. I have been going to this small family run hotel for over 25 years and will always be my first choice. It is extremely clean and the air conditioning was excellent as an escape from the very high temperatures in Italy between July 14 - 24 July. There is nothing better than bathing in the pool and then relaxing with refreshments to watch the spectacular sunset over the Mediterranean in these very peaceful surroundings. The food on offer is exceptional and the portion size is extraordinary ! A hike to the top of Mt. Epomeo is a must during your stay. Can't wait for my next holiday at Ape Regina.

A beautiful place where you can recharge and from where you can enjoy the beat battles gifts that the island V has to offer. Internet speed is great; the wine options are fantastic, especially in terms of price vs quality… and the Negroni is nice and strong:) What else do you need? Great bed, check. Good food, CHECK friendly staff, check Recommend? CHECK :)

We feel very privileged for having been able to spend time at Ape Regina. We have been coming a couple of times since 2016 and every time the experience is excellent. Giuseppe and Catharina are always available to help with any queries and at the same time you have a sense of complete privacy when you are staying at the hotel. The views are magnificent and the rooms are clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the caprese salads with excellent mozzarella and tomatoes, not the kind of produce you would buy in a supermarket but the quality you buy from a farmers market. We rented a scooter (Giuseppe was kind enough to make arrangements for us and have the scooter delivered to the hotel) but you could also take a bus which departs hourly from a stop at a minute's walk from the hotel. If you can, do get a room with sea view as the views are stunning at every hour of the day. The hotel is a beautiful getaway for those who enjoy being surrounded by nature and who can appreciate reading a book by the pool or on your balcony. The owners really make an effort to keep the place a tranquil haven: no glassware or diving in the pool.
