Village Cascais Guest House

DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE This is awful. The suite is a converted garage that has no insulation and traffic is very heavy and noisy both day and night with rush hour traffic starting from 6am, the room vibrates with the cars going by. There is mould on the bathroom tiles. Rusty soap holder. Smell from the sink drain was toxic and at times so bad that could not even open the door. There is no window, just a patio door that has cars parked 2 feet away and reception entrance beside it so heavy curtains cannot be opened or people can see you in bed, so lights on all the time with no daylight coming in. Brazillian guy on reception was very nice and location is good. I have stayed in cheap places in the past but this was the worst. Floors, walls, tiles, doors all grubby. Everything looks shabby. TV doesn’t work.
