Le Friquet Hotel

So glad there was availability here for myself and my daughter for our first visit to Guernsey to visit family. It’s a beautiful hotel, and the building and grounds have been well looked after and cared for. Everyone was very friendly, everything was very clean, the room was spotless and the air conditioning was very welcome. We only had breakfast here and the selection of food was excellent as well as being very fresh. We live quite a distance away, and a flight had been cancelled so it wasn’t easy to get here, but we had such a comfortable stay that I would have no hesitation in making this my first choice when we return. Thank you to all the staff.

Unlucky for me I messed up my booking dates and only found out when I arrived. Two pieces of luck followed, I was greeted by the delightful receptionist, Jennifer from memory, who booked me in to the last room available and arranged for me and two guest of mine to join me for dinner. The restaurant was fully booked, but they managed to squeeze us in. I was allocated room 12, which is on the 1st floor overlooking the front of the hotel. A comfortable, clean twin room, with everything you would expect in a hotel room, with very good quality towels and lots of hot water. I had an issue with my phone charger, popped down to reception and Jennifer, found me a charger I could borrow, she saved my day again, that was the 3rd time in 1/2hr. My guests arrived a short time later and we enjoyed a great meal, all 3 having the scallops, 2 of us sharing a wonderfully presented and incredibly tasty Chateaubriand, best I’ve ever had. I was encouraged by the waitress to sample the Mochi Dessert and am now addicted to them. After a good night sleep and enjoyed the well presented breakfast, there was Jennifer at reception to thank me for choosing Le Friquet and wishing me a good day. I visit Guernsey 5 or 6 times a year and if it’s my choice I always try to stay at Le Friquet, with the home from home feel, the warmth of the welcome, great food and attentive staff, why choose anywhere else!

Overall it was a lovely break, food was fantastic, staff were friendly and room and overall hotel were in a first class state. Only small, be picky, is service in the restaurant could have been better, particular provision of drinks after ordering food...often after starter even when politely chased. Would I go again and recommend, YES.

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay. Reception staff were good, and the young ladies who served us breakfast and dinner were cheerful and delightful, taking a real interest in us as persons The bedroom and bed were very comfortable, and the bathroom just oozed quality. The meals were delicious and well-presented. The cooked breakfast section was noticeably tidily kept.

Everything was just brilliant. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. Room, meals, comfort, staff, all very much more than we expected. We felt looked after and all the staff were very nice, friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.

Our stay at this lovely hotel was superb. From the first greeting from Sofia on reception, we felt at home. Having stayed before we had the same room which is light and spacious (room42) .Our sweet girl who came in each day to service the room, Lisa, was so professional and kept us organised. The restaurant serves a buffet breakfast with plentiful choices. In the evening the meals are varied and reasonably priced. They do serve Lobsters but not being a fish lover I did not partake. Wishing we were still there on this beautiful idyllic Island and will return again am sure.

Beautiful settings hotel hidden gem bed so comfy ate at restaurant lovely food excellent service from all staff would highly recommend local busses close by to explore Guernsey recommend herm for a day trip beautiful scenery trips from st Peter port harbor no need to book in advance x

We last visited the Island some 50 years ago. We had a wonderful time ! The Hotel was delightful set in lovely grounds. The Breakfasts and Dinners were fantastic with plenty of choice and served excellently. The Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The level of service was again fantastic and the Staff were truly marvellous. Overall the Hotel made our holiday what it was Superb

Stayed at Le Friquet Country Hotel for four nights on their special break offer. The hotel is in the countryside and was a great location for us to go in any direction to see the island. We loved the hotel and the staff from checking in to checking out they were brilliant, so friendly and helpful. That is everyone from the front desk staff to the dining room, bar and house keeping staff. The food at breakfast and dinner was superb but remember breakfast is a buffet, however it is really good and is kept hot. Dinner was the best thing to look forward to each day, with a great menu, great service and really good portions. The Seafood Platter was to die for. Included in the package was a visit to Herm Island which was outstanding and definately worth going. All in all four fantastic nights and we will definately being going back.
