Prefect choice for Tuscany road trip! Chilled and closed to many other small towns.

I couldn’t recommend this hotel more! It was absolutely stunning. It’s a small boutique hotel with a b&b feel. The decor was beautiful, and it seems like each room is a little different, giving the hotel a special charm. Our room was on the third floor, and we had the most amazing view. This was our stopping point between Rome and Florence. We stayed for three nights and felt wonderfully recharged after. The pool was beautiful, and the massages were great. The food was out of this world! We did the tasting menu at Tavola di Guido and had some of our favorite food on the entire trip. We rented a car to get there, and it would likely be hard to get there without one. However, the hotel was extremely responsive via WhatsApp, so they could likely explain the viability of public transit. The workers at the front desk and restaurant were so lovely. Before we arrived, they worked with me over WhatsApp to plan a wine tour. I think the pictures speak for themselves. This is one of my favorite hotels I’ve ever stayed at.

My expectations were exceeded at this small hotel. The property is lovely and well thought out. I stayed in an executive room in the main building. It was on the second level. The room had a comfortable bed, desk and chair, mini fridge, ceiling fan, a/c and a large closet. The bathroom had a shower stall. The only disappointing thing was that my window was small, and I had to walk right up to it to look out at the view. (The executive with patio rooms looked like they had nice outdoor patios with views.) The garden area with the pool has amazing views over the countryside. Being at the pool was quite pleasant after touring for the day. The grounds are very well kept. The breakfast is a nice buffet. The dining area is very stylish and surrounded by glass windows that can be opened when the temperature is nice. Everything I ate at the Tavola di Guido restaurant was very good, but the menu is very limited (you choose from a 3 or 5-course set menu; there is no a la carte). Substitutions didn't seem to be appreciated. For instance, there was one item on the set menu that I didn't find appealing, so I asked for something simple like grilled vegetables as a substitute and was brought beef tartare instead. The staff were all nice and friendly. You can visit many small towns of the Chianti region in 40 minutes or so. There is on-site parking that felt secure (in the countryside).

This would be an ideal place for a quiet weekend retreat from it all! We only stayed one night while touring Tuscany, but it was gorgeous. Large room, big comfortable bed. Great shower. Breakfast was best of our trip - big buffet with eggs, sausage, pastry, meats, cheese, yogurt, fruit, cereal - something for everyone. The grounds are stunning. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool and watching the sun go down over the vineyards. The exercise room looks out over the vineyards, too. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

This is a unique place. Everything is run to consistently high standards. The food in both rooms is very nice and the wine pairings are worth trying - really enjoyable. But the staff are really what makes the stay enjoyable. Super professional but kind and funny and sweet.

It's hard not to feel like you're in a movie as you drive through the seemingly endless and breathtaking hills of Tuscany as you approach Locanda Le Piazze. And from the moment you arrive at Locanda Le Piazze, you will marvel over every single charming detail and relaxing atmosphere. From the truly astonishing views of surrounding wineries that go on forever to idyllic property you get to call home, the rustic yet modern rooms and cozy setting. Each member of the hotel staff was absolutely wonderful, extremely helpful, friendly and will quickly know you by name. The hotel also has an adorable group of kittens on staff, who will delight you with their playful energy and curious nature. We stayed in an executive suite for three nights but would have happily stayed for three months. Our room was truly stunning with lots of space and the view from our bedroom window was truly unbelievable, photos just couldn't do it justice. Our room had all the amenities one could want and the staff kept our room and the entire hotel immaculately clean. While the wifi connection wasn't very strong, it was good enough and gave us a reason to leave our phones behind. It's impossible to describe how stunning the property is. Locanda Le Piazze gives you the best of both worlds - not only are the hotel grounds exceptional but the property is literally surrounded by picture-perfect views that are exactly what you think of when you think of a Tuscan vacation. We canceled our plans one afternoon to spend a slow day at the hotel by the pool and it was our favorite day! Photos really undersell how lovely Locanda Le Piazze really is. The breakfast included at the hotel is great and we made sure to go every morning. The hotel has a good selection of wines and cocktails that we enjoyed before dinner, though we decided to have lunch and dinner at nearby restaurants throughout our stay. While the restaurant seemed very popular and nice, we had so much fun going to places recommended by the lovely front desk staff. We also found some of the best spots on Google. We ventured into the town of Castellina in Chianti but there's not much there and we enjoyed the restaurants on the way to or shortly passed town. From the moment we arrived to when it was time to say our goodbyes, we were overcome by the magic of Locanda Le Piazze. We can't wait to go back!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. This hotel is absolutely stunning, nestled within the countryside of Tuscany. The entire estate is so well landscaped and laid out perfectly. You truly feel like you are at a resort. The service is amazing from front desk to bar & restaurant. Everyone speaks English and is happy to help/accommodate whatever you need. The food is some of the best I have ever had. My husband and I ate at the restaurant all 3 nights for dinner while we stayed at the hotel. We enjoyed the 5 course menu on our first night but quickly found the A La Carte restaurant to be our favorite with tons of different options. The spaghetti is the best I have ever had. A lot of the food is sourced from the farm surrounding the hotel - we saw them harvesting from their garden before dinner would start. Their estate wine and olive oil is fantastic. Pool is beautiful and surrounded with nice outdoor furniture. The pool bar is also open serving drinks and food - it was too cold to go in the pool when I arrived but my husband and I grabbed a blanket and some drinks and sat to take in the views. The bar inside serves all different cocktails and the estate's wine - which is delicious. We had drinks in the bar every night we stayed - which was also a fun way to meet other guests. The hotel has board games and books to also occupy you! Rooms were large and clean. Beautiful views from the windows. And if that wasn't enough - my husband and i rented a car from Florence to Tuscany and got a flat tire on our way back to the hotel. The staff at the front desk helped speak to international roadside assistance and the tow truck when it arrived in Italian to help translate the situation. The situation was beyond chaotic and the hotel went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled. They even helped book us a private transfer back to Florence with a ~12 hour notice.

My wife and I had the great pleasure of staying at Locanda le Piazze in Tuscany for six nights, and it was a truly unforgettable experience. Locanda’s location and outlook are stunning, offering a picturesque setting that is hard to beat. I feel the staff at the hotel are genuinely among the best in the world, providing exceptional service and making us feel incredibly welcome and part of the Locanda family. The hotel buildings are full of historical character and have been sympathetically modernised. The decor and small touches throughout the property are sublime, adding to the overall charm and elegance. The food and local wine were out of this world, with every meal being a delightful culinary experience. With the number of people dining there, I have no idea how they managed to produce the quality they did; the chef is a magician. One of the highlights of our stay was the swimming pool area, which has one of the most scenic settings in the world, I don’t think we could get bored of looking out over the rolling Tuscan hills. We did not want to leave and are already looking forward to our next visit. Locanda le Piazze offers a perfect blend of beauty, modern comforts, and exceptional service. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Tuscany. A big thank you to all the fantastic staff for making our stay so amazing!

Room - we booked a room with a private patio for 4 nights which was great to have in the warm afternoons. The room itself had a great shower, good aircon, really nice bathroom products and a smart TV if you wanted to relax and watch Netflix etc in the evenings. Food - the breakfast was incredible with all fresh ingridients and home baked bread. We also ate dinner here for two nights which was exceptional. The house Chianti Classico wine was brilliant. Wine tasting - we booked this within the hotel and it was hosted by Andrea who was great. You get to try 3 different wines and eat some really great snacks alongside it which alter the flavours. Pool - without doubt the most relaxing, quiet and scenic pool I have ever seen! No issues getting sun beds and wherever you sit you get a different incredible view. Probably only improvement I would make is opening the pool bar earlier than 12:30 and maybe at 11am. Staff - they really are great and helpful through out your stay. They helped us a lot pre arrival as they helped organise/book a lot of things for us via email. Other -the Spa was really good and had really wide range of treatments. I didn’t use it but they have a small gym which you can book out at the front desk to use. They do recommend getting a car which makes sense if you plan to travel around a lot from here as there isn’t much around by foot. We didn’t drive and managed fine by booking a driver for one day to go to Siena and staying local for the remainder. If you want a change of scenery there is also another restaurant within 5mins walking distance which was very good that we visited.

We enjoyed 4 nights in this beautiful hotel in one of their standard rooms. Firstly the hotel staff were really really great! Nothing was too much effort, they were happy, attentive but didn’t fuss! They helped us on 2 occasions to phone places (we don’t speak Italian) and managed to get us in at short notice to 2 places! Definitely 5 star service! Secondly - although a bit more expensive than your holiday type resorts it quite standard for this type of hotel (€14 for a cocktail) - there is nothing nicer than drinking a decent cocktail (no syrups here), by the pool, with a gorgeous view and a very well made drink!! Just fabulous. The room - we stayed in a standard room and knew it had stairs when we booked (2 flights to our bedroom) - not an issue for us and allowed us to have beautiful views from our bedroom (but book a ground floor if you don’t want to climb!). We slept with the windows open and it was sooooo peaceful!! In terms of location - we found it good. There are wineries in walking distance, cycling distance and easy driving distance and more than 1 food options within walking distance. The breakfast was lovely - home made fruit salad, granola, various cakes and breads, fresh coffee (and hot chocolate) and also some eggs / sausages and cheese. We ate at the main posh restaurant and in the bar - will review these separately but the key take away was yum! And so nice to buy wine from literally 3 miles down the road!! Well done team Locanda - we really enjoyed our stay!

We recently stayed here a few nights while visiting Tuscany. The hotel was recommended by a friend who had honeymooned here last year. What a gorgeous place! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They obviously want their guests to have a wonderful experience. They only have about 20 rooms so it doesn't feel at all crowded. The rooms are beautiful and extremely comfortable. The views, especially from the pool, are incredible! The food and wine are delicious! The lasagne was the best I have ever had in my life! Hopefully we will return some day for another wonderful stay!

This was our second trip to Locanda Le Piazze (which tells you something) and they maintained their standard of excellence. The staff (the majority of whom we recognised from the year before) are so friendly and attentive. We stayed a week. We love the breakfasts and the restaurant is very special indeed. There was an unforseen inconvenience at Locanda and, unprompted, they resolved it in a swift and very generous manner. We'll be back!

We stayed here for four nights. It was a perfect place to end our vacation. Beautiful views, fantastic pool, great spa treatments, and wonderful staff. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a memorable stay. I recommended getting a car and exploring the area.

We went there for a company trip for a little less than a week. The whole staff enjoyed! This place is just magical, surrounded by breath-taking landscapes, the staff is the kindest, listening to all the needs and finding solutions for everything, experience was fabulous. Thank you for everything!
