Hotel Digon

We have spent 10 days in the Dolomites. 4 of these days have been spent at Hotel Digon. Our stay here has been extraordinary, starting with being greeted by the mother of this family owned hotel. Her genuine pleasure of meeting us was very welcoming. This was followed by similar kindness and hospitality by the rest of the family and staff. The accommodations are top level, modern and in perfect order. We spent a day with the owner, Daniel, mountain biking. His passion for service was evident throughout the day. The setting of this hotel is magical. If you are heading to the Dolomites, I highly recommend adding a stay at Hotel Digon.

Ski stay w friend. New room, well decorated (sofa, seats and table) & plenty of space to relax. Perfect room cleaning. Large balcony w mountain view and sunrise. Loved the heated (30°C/86°F) outdoor pool in the freezing temperatures! Hotel Digon has a good restaurant (choice, quality and variation). Not being ski in/out is solved with shuttles within few minutes. Overall repeatable experience. Also visit baita Curona while on the mountain.

We have traveled to over 30 countries and appreciate places who truly deserve the accolades. Hotel Digon is one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with laughter and fabulous personal service . The hotel is beautiful, recently renovated, the rooms are spacious, the views are gorgeous. It is quiet, serene..but never stuffy. We fell in love with the owners and staff. People are smiling, laughing, cutting up. Every time we had questions about our hikes and side trips, they provided maps, suggestions and guidance. They can help you arrange any trips or excursions easily. The hotel also provides an elevator to those in need. We did not book half board, but should have. We chose to have dinner on 3 nights. The hotel does fun events, appetizers on the veranda, dessert buffets. The wines are selected from the finest in Italy and are reasonably priced. The menu is offered every day at breakfast and features vegetarian options at every dinner. I did not meet the two chefs, but kudos to them for wonderful meals.The breakfast buffet was much more extensive than most. They even offered a power juicer with fresh fruit and veggies.Meals all featured fresh produce and homemade pasta . Absolutely wonderful. There is a pool kept at a moderate temperature which was delightful. Rooms also provided safes, robes, makeup mirror and shower with rain and hand held options. We had a large balcony with great views. We parked free of charge. The hotel gives guests a bus pass for the entire area. We only used it twice, but it was a way for many to travel easily. Hotel Digon sits a bit outside Ortesei on the hill. For me, that’s a plus. You can fight the parking and traffic in the town, or enjoy this perch which has free shuttle to town! Stay here. Stay a long time. I’m definitely booking a return. Thank you for a perfect vacation!

All around excellent experience, including the free hikes available from local guide service and free bus pass. Take advantage of this!! We do not speak any of the local languages, but had no trouble communicating at any time. Idyllic views. Food leans toward Austria more than Italy, but you all likely know that. High quality local produce, etc. Great wine selection.

We loved our stay at this hotel. It is in a quiet location, looking across the valley towards Ortisei and the mountains beyond. Plenty on-site parking. While it is a few minutes out of the town, there is a good shuttle bus service available if required. We had a suite with balcony which was extremely comfortable and serviced to a high standard. The family are extremely welcoming and a special shout-out to Romina is also deserved for helping us settle in and find restaurants, etc. We were here to go hiking and it was such a delight to relax in the infinity pool after a day in the mountains. The breakfast buffet was excellent and we enjoyed a glass of beer/wine in the evenings, sitting out on the balcony. We shall definitely return and recommend Hotel Digon highly.

Abbiamo soggiornato dal 17 al 19 Gennaio 2025. Ci siamo trovati veramente bene, tutto il personale gentile e cordiale. Il cibo è ottimo, il servizio anche. La spa è molto ben rifinita. Piscina esterna riscaldata spettacolare. Wallbox per auto elettriche sempre disponibile. Se devo trovare un difetto, menziono la camera. Siamo una coppia, ci è stata data una camera con due letti matrimoniali e due bagni. E fin qui va tutto bene anzi... Il problema è che sul secondo letto c'era una coperta in pail non tanto pulita e nel secondo bagno, c'era il cassettone della serranda smontato (si vedeva un nido di qualche insetto che era stato eliminato ma rimasto tutto in bella vista). Io avrei tenuta chiusa a chiave la porta se il lavoro andava finito. Purtroppo dista un po' dal centro quindi bisogna prendere la macchina per fare un giro ad Ortisei ma non è un grosso problema. Le 2 navette danno servizio agli sciatori per raggiungere le piste, anche se non collegano direttamente al Saslong. Ad ogni modo, consiglio l'hotel e ci tornerei perchè siamo stati tanto bene.
