Bel Air Maison d'Hotes des Landes

Gorgeous French farmhouse that has been lovingly restored to provide a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. Every space in this house has been meticulously curated and the aesthetics are a treat for the senses. The entire house smells delightful! All of the products in the room are locally sourced and there are special touches like pure French linen sheets. It is so quiet at night here and I think I got the best nights sleep I’ve had in months. Our room and bathroom were large and comfortable. Breakfast was simple and perfect, fresh bread, croissants, fruit, yogurt and fresh squeezed orange juice. The entire property is fenced and gated with a wonderfully maintained lawn; perfect for us as we brought our two dogs with us who were very welcomed. Sylvie and Christian were wonderful hosts, attentive and personable without being overbearing. The pool area looks amazing, being March and only here for one night we didn’t have the chance to try it. The local town is small but has everything you need and the people here are very friendly. All in all a highly recommended stay and provided perfect respite on our drive from London to the Algarve!

It was our second day of a planned 3 day drive home to the UK when our car broke down on the motorway. We were dropped off in the French countryside in the heat with no plans of where to go and with all of our things from our car and our dog. We walked for a while and came across Bel Air. Christophe and Sylvie welcomed us in, seeing that we had clearly had a very bad day. They got us a beautiful room and fixed it up very quickly and while we were waiting they provided water and helped us with our bags. Christophe translated for us and helped us find somewhere that would fix our car then helped us get to where we needed to go. For the rest of our stay we experienced the lovely pool, breakfast and beautiful charcuterie platters. Christophe and Sylvie were incredibly kind and accommodating and they helped turn a horrible situation into a lovely weekend stay. They truly go above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable and happy during your stay. We couldn’t have asked for anything more they went absolutely above and beyond. If I could give them more stars I would! Thank you very much from all three of us!

On our way to Spain and have stopped here both times, what an amazing place. The outside area is gorgeous including heated swimming pool, we ate their platter of delicious locally sourced food in comfy armchairs surrounded by birdsong, mature garden and tasteful decor. The hosts , Sylvie and Christophe speak Spanish, English and French so no problem communicating with them. Nothing too much trouble and the bedrooms and bathrooms are beautiful. Clearly a lot of time is spent keeping the standard so high. The place is immaculate and we love it. Thanks so much 😊.

Wir waren das zweite Mal die Gäste von Sylvie und Christophe auf unserer Fahrt in den Süden. Die Freundlichkeit, die Herzlichkeit, die tolle Ausstattung, das Design und die Ruhe des Hauses und des Parks darum sowie das super Abendessen und Frühstück, haben den Aufenthalt wieder perfekt gemacht. Gerne wieder.

Preciosa casa de huéspedes done fuimos atendidos por Sylvie de Rivoire de manera exquisita en cada desayuno . La casa esta decorada con muchisimo gusto y la habitacion sin ser muy grande era comoda y con vistas al jardin ademas de un baño luminoso y elegante con unos productos de cosmetica de calidad, el desayuno fabuloso y pudimos cenar una noche en el pabellon de la piscina sobre demanda un plato variado con carnes frias , quesos y pates de la region

Een Fantastisch plek !!! Absoluut aanrader . Heel vriendelijk eigenaren met een prachtig huis . Alles was super netjes en fantastisch ingericht . Echt gaan als je in de buurt bent ! De ontbijt was werkelijk geweldig !
