We have eaten here many times over the years and it's always been good but this time it was absolutely outstanding and on another level. Newish Headchef - all 4 of us were extremely impressed and would highly recommend this restaurant. We had beef, pheasant, fish and desserts all of which were delicious

This was a perfect stop off on our way home from visiting family in Shropshire. Ideal location just off the M4 with a lovely warm welcome. The service and environment was exceptional and just what you need from a country stay on a dreary autumn afternoon. Very happy with accommodation which was excellent value for money.

We have stayed here before and certainly weren't disappointed. The room was comfortable with an excellent shower. There was an impressive dinner menu for a fairly small pub. I had a delicious home made soup-red pepper, squash and goat's cheese and my husband had the spoonettes-3 different types (see photo). I then had pork loin with asparagus , potato fondant and gravy and my husband had the beef Welleington-both excellent. We finished with Afogato and ice-cream. My Eggs Benedict for breakfast was also delicious. The pub is on a busy road, so there is some traffic noise, but overall strongly recommended

What a hidden gem! I went here with my husband for his birthday. I booked a table at the Old House at Home in Burton for lunch to celebrate my husbands birthday. We arrived and was shown to our table by the fire. It was much appreciated as still a little cold. We were not waiting long before being given our menus and drink order taken. I had an unusual but tasty blackberry and lavender Royal cocktail. The food arrived mine was the Hake and my husband chose the Beef Wellington. Both dishes were really elegant and the effort it must have taken to make them so beautiful was commendable. They were absolutely beautiful to look at, with delicious flavours. I’d highly recommend!

This was my 3rd stay at this excellent B&B gastro pub. The rooms are immaculately clean, well equipped and the food is wonderful. High praise also for the staff - all of which are highly professional and helpful. Perfectly situated a short drive from lovely villages to include Castle Combe and Badminton. Also close to junction 18 of the M4 giving you easy access to Bath and Bristol.

Stayed for two nights comfortable room, lovely bathroom with great shower. Bedroom could do with a refresh. Rooms are not situated in the main building so we got wet moving from our room to the restaurant. Good breakfast, but no fruit or yogurt and enjoyable dinner, beautifully presented but some dishes lacking in flavour. Excellent service, all staff friendly and helpful. Very nice place to stay and with a few tweaks could be excellent.

Very nice pub to spend the night, spacious room well appointed with large bathroom and great shower. The pub offered a good menu too and the wines and beers on offer were great. The staff were lovely too. The breakfast was good but we would have liked tea and juice options.

A beautifully presented pub/restaurant with a very pleasant atmosphere. The menu had been given a lot of thought with some wonderful sounding dishes. The food was faultless and the staff were extremely polite and friendly. I will definitely visit again and can highly recommend this place.

Comfortable room, well appointed and cute shutters at the window. Were used to a King Size bed so we found the double bed small and short. Nice rainfall shower in a lovely tiled en-suite. Delicious food in the pub and a breakfast cooked to order. We would come back.
