TF Royal Hotel & Theatre

Some feedback on Abba tribute event on Friday night. The group were fantastic. The layout of the room was completely wrong for a group like this. People sitting to the right of the room had to walk across the stage in a very narrow space to access the toilet and bar. The bar was poorly serviced taking ages to get served. A guy acting as security approached a group of young girls dancing at the second song of the night and told them to sit down. He wandered the event like a grumpy security guard at a demonstration. They left at half time. When we said this to him at the end of the night and he said he didn't want them to fall. We were at an Abba tribute band!!! Who thought no one was going to dance. The facility needs to consider things like this going forward. Thank god it didn't ruin our night as we ignored him and continued to dance .

The room was good with a very comfortable bed. The Internet was poor and although I complained to reception as I had to work on my laptop in the room, they said there was nothing they could do, which was disappointing. The car park was full on arrival and I had to park elsewhere for a couple of hours until a space became available. The noise from the next room was audible especially when the water was used, it made a most unusual noisy sound. I had fish and chips in the restaurant, which was average although the service was very good. On balance I wouldn't stay again.

Prior to seeing a show at the theatre, my sister and I went to The Green Room for her birthday celebration meal.. from the first second of entering the restaurant, Michelle met us with a friendly smile and greeting, and showed us to our table. Throughout the whole meal she was attentive, informative and her customer service was beyond reproach. Having found out there was a birthday, she even arranged for a candle on my sisters dessert and played happy birthday for her over the sound system.. the food was superb, a credit to the chef and kitchen staff.. beet battered fish was the best I have had!! Michelle and all the staff are a credit to the venue.. Kieran was also super helpful when we came to pay for the bill… all in all a fabulous start to our evening.. we will definitely look forward to coming back and letting all of our friends know of such a great place to come for a night out! Well done Green Room.. five stars all the way!! 🙌

We dined at the refurbished Green Room Restaurant at the TF Royal Hotel in Castlebar on Friday, and it was fabulous! The menu offered fresh, tasty food with great variety, from curries to steaks, chicken dishes, and short ribs. The short ribs were the best my niece ever had! The service was great, attentive, and professional, while the cosy and nicely decorated space added to the warm atmosphere. The food and beverage manager checked on us and was very friendly, which made the evening even more special. It’s the perfect spot for gatherings or Christmas parties—highly recommend for an enjoyable experience!

Went in for food. Waiter took our order and we wait 45mins for food for waiter to come back ask did we get food and when he was told no then asked what we ordered to be told lies about their system playing up and our order had only gone. Didn't get food and won't be going back in. Poor service

Attended a concert here last night and we booked a table in the restaurant beforehand. It was a set menu as a result of the show which was fine but the food was clearly pre prepared and reheated and was simply not good. We went to order drinks and our server, who was a lovely girl and this is in no way her fault as she was just following orders, informed us that she could only serve our drinks in plastic cups- we had ordered a bottle of prosecco. Ridiculous protocol seeing as this was at 5pm in the evening in the restaurant and the gig was not due to start for several hours. Not sure what they thought we were going to be doing with the glasses. Poor service really, we left immediately after finishing the food, will not be returning if we ever attend another gig there.
