Flamingo Resort Cat Ba

Basically beautiful Hotel and nice location. 3 buildings are connected with bridges and everywhere instagrammable spots. It can be confusing to find at the beginning the right restaurant or event at the 3 beaches or restaurants. The service in the restaurant in cat 2 17th Etage need to improve. First time i was sitting outside at the balcony. the staff saw me but nobody served me. Another day i went at the same restaurant first at the reception and told them i wanna order. I got an tablet with the menu and thats it. Me and another tablet were looking around to get service but again no one came after 12 min i left the restaurant and had dinner in the city. The pool bars are closed in 2 buildings and at building no. 2 there are only beer water and some lemon juice available. To get an coconut i had to go up to the 17th floor.

AMAZING location. Great food. Nice pools. Helpful and friendly staff. I felt very welcomed and safe as a female solo traveler. I would stay again.

The room was amazing, the views from the balcony on 14th floor just stunning. There's a kitchen in the room, only for display as you will get fined for using even the microwave 😂 We had to ask for clean towels and water one day, because it had been forgotten when the room was made up. The hotel is HUGE so getting to and from the pool or open restaurant is a big trip, there's no way the kids could go anywhere on their own in this massive complex. The kids club is just a room, no club as such. The games in the kids club room are incredibly expensive so we didn't use at all. The view from the third building restaurant is amazing if you get there early enough to get a window seat. The breakfast buffet is ok. When it gets busy though, the food keeps running out. There was one! Coffee pot for probably 400 people so you have to run back and forth across this massive restaurant to check if it's been refilled. We had buffet lunch once, which was very poor. For 1.7M VND you don't even get water to drink but have to buy separately and there are not many options for kids to eat. Again, the food ran out so you had to walk up and down several times to check if it's been replaced and dodge the crowds on the way. Not a very nice experience. The hotel cannot help with bookings or suggestions for excursions unless you book their tours, which are wildly overpriced and few to choose from. Hotel pools were amazing for our kids! The stay was nice overall but we wouldn't go back to this hotel.

It has the best view of cat ba and the private beach is amazing! I thing I didn’t expect is that the masseur Ms. Dong is so good!!! I never had experience of falling asleep while getting my body massage, and she is the only masseur makes it happen. I am not looking for strong massage to release sore or tight muscle, but relax from my shitty work. She just made it!!! I believe I will stay there for more times because of her massage!

We had a wonderful stay at the Flamingo. Unfortunately, we were there during the typhoon, but there were plenty of activities at the hotel to help pass the time. The staff is extremely friendly, especially Quyen, who was there for us throughout our stay. We chatted constantly via wattsap, and whenever we had a need or problem, it was resolved within 5 minutes, thanks to Quyen, who was as kind as I've rarely seen. I highly recommend it!

Beautiful resort with amazing pools and private beach, we ended spending most of our time at the resort enjoying the amenities. Lots of options at the breakfast buffet.
