B&B Elios Rooms

We flew in on a military flight and landed around 10 PM. We found this place online upon landing at our first stop around 7. It had good reviews so we took a chance. What a delight! Turned out it was central to much of what we wanted to do and had great food in the area! The hostess was so kind and warm. Even though it was very late when we arrived, they showed us around the room and the building. She was attentive at breakfast despite our language barrier! The room was lovely and comfortable. If I can give one tip: Get WHATS APP. As we booked so late, and did it via phone, we missed the confirmation email giving entry directions via What's APP. I felt very horrible waking these kind people up. I had only heard of this App two weeks prior. The sent the codes to What's App. Super easy.

Wonderful hostess, the B&B is family-run, it is clean, around the corner from Via Etnea, has an elevator, offers breakfast, has a refrigerator and freezer for those that have medication to refrigerate, arranges taxi service, trips, very helpful and welcoming. It was a haven for us after we escaped from a horrible B&B hundreds of steps up a hill.

I think Elios is good value and a great location. It's clean and we thought the design....the creation of the en suite was quite ingenious it's a little box effectively with the room and what we liked was that it was fitted in so as not to spoil the nice ceiling. The room was a good size and the bed was perfectly comfortable. There was an aircon unit which I really appreciated as I am obsessed with not having mosquitos come in but also don't like a bedroom with is too hot. There were still mozzies around I got bites to prove it but I didn't have them buzzing around in the night! We had a little balcony. As it's so centrally located there was a lot of traffic and noise from that but you can't have it both ways can you? And some sound from other guests. One review went on and on about noise well if you want quiet get an apartment to yourself out of the city. We were just minutes from the Duomo and the bus station at Piazza Borsellino. It was great! The building itself felt very secure so I felt safe. There was a safe in our room....you have to ask for a key. Marika was nice but my favourite was Cinzia who made our breakfast she was absolutely lovely she makes your coffee she will make you scrambled eggs it felt very personal and I talked to her quite a bit in my halting Italian. Very sweet very kind.

Elios Rooms is conveniently located a few minutes walk away from the Duomo. It really is a lovely place to stay and Marika, who runs it, is extremely kind and helpful. The room I stayed in was very comfortable and the private bathroom was really fab. It cost about 60 Euros a night and was ten times better than the Air BnB that I had stayed in when I first arrived ( Luca’s flat in Via Santissima Trinità ). The Elios bedroom fridge cooled down my water and chocolate and the air concooled me. What a pleasure! Thanks Marika and her mama and papa!

Una delle esperienze peggiori mai vissute per un viaggio di lavoro. Stanza singola spacciata per una doppia, forse per la presenza di un divano oltre al mio lettino? Lettino singolo piu piccolo della media, a momenti mi giravo e ritrovavo per terra di notte. Il suddetto letto è stato probabilmente collocato in stanza all'ultimo minuto per sfruttare come stanza da letto quello che in realtà è il soggiorno di un appartamento. Anche perché pare che inizialmente non avessero più stanze, poi ci hanno detto si ce l'abbiamo. Mi sono così trovata a dover dormire nel soggiorno, condividendo l'appartamento con la mia responsabile, io a piano terra e lei al piano di sopra, il tutto diviso da una scala interna dello stesso APPARTAMENTO. Nessun tipo di privacy. Ci avevano detto che i due ambienti erano indipendenti e ci divideva l'ingresso comune. Detta così ti immagini poi che ognuno abbia la sua stanza con porta e chiavi. Invece no. Porta unica e unica chiave, ripeto stesso appartamento. Il doppione delle chiavi l'abbiamo ricevuto solo il giorno dopo. Nessuna possibilita di essere indipendenti dunque, oltre a dover condividere ambiente unico con collega. Nessuno è venuto a farci il check in per poterci dare un secondo mazzo di chiavi. Un unico telecomando per i condizionatori da dividerci passandocelo per le scale. Impossibile per altro stare con ante del balcone aperte per eccesso di rumori e polvere per impalcature lavori nel palazzo. Una colazione approssimativa. Un bagno (quello a me riservato in zona soggiorno) ricavato nel sottoscala con un lavello utile solo per lavare le mani. Un incubo. Stanza non visibile nelle foto del bb. Si vede solo il divano, ma non il letto, forse perché non è neppure mai stata pensata come stanza da letto? Dulcis in fundo rumori continui all'interno del condominio, portone in ferro ripetutamente sbattuto dagli altri ospiti. Polvere ovunque. Alla mia collega è venuta una sorta di dermatite per l'eccesso di polvere. Mai più.

Il soggiorno presso Elios Rooms ti fa sentire a casa. Struttura carina, centrale, pulita, comoda e ben fornita. Colazione su misura, adatta a tutte le esigenze, con prodotti dolci e salati preparati al momento. Ma il vero punto di forza è la signora Cinzia, accogliente, simpatica e soprattutto sempre disponibile a qualsiasi ora. È stata per noi una guida, una saggia consigliera e anche un po' una mamma. Senza di lei il nostro soggiorno non sarebbe stato lo stesso. Grazie Cinzia, vi ricorderemo sempre con tanto piacere e speriamo un giorno di rivederci. Posizione strategica, perfetta. Pulito. Cinzia è simpatica e ha un’ospitalità difficile da trovare. Lo consiglio vivamente. Siamo stati una sola notte ma torneremo. In famiglia. 5 persone. Ci siamo stati larghi. Ci sono delle scale per andare al piano di sopra il che consente una certa privacy, soprattutto se fossimo stati 2 coppie

Un lugar ideal para unos días de estancia en Catania, a 1 cuadra dee la calle principal y a 3 cuadras de la plaza, la atención fue muy buena, amables y cordiales, siempre predispuestos a brindarte toda la información necesaria, muchas gracias

Ho soggiornato 4 notti e mi sono trovata bene. Posizione ottima, ascensore e chiave automatica per aprire le porte. Pulizia ottima. Forse il bagno sarebbe da ristrutturare invece la camera è carina. Il titolare è disponibile e cordiale..
