Xainã Pousada de Charme

This stay was simply the best we've had in over a month's travel through Italy and Brazil, despite it being the lowest cost. The huge standout was the staff, every one of whom were wonderfully friendly, helpful, and attentive, I couldn't rate them more highly. Our room was very comfortable and well set out. The included breakfast was delicious and diverse, including cooked meals to order. The centrally located pool was clean, perfect temperature, and greatly enjoyed by all the guests. Atmosphere was friendly, relaxed and welcoming. Location was great, a short walk to a lovely clean sandy beach with clear water, we walked for kilometres along the beach and enjoyed a swim in the waves, water temperature was ideal. There is currently some roadwork going on to repair damage caused by the heavy rains, which made getting to the pousada a bit difficult, but I expect that will be fixed in a few days.

I arrived and the owner Neil was super friendly and helped me repair my kite board and was very welcoming, the pace is clean, the breakfast is great and has a relaxed vibe. The rooms are beautiful and the place is maybe a 5 min walk from the beach

Just wanted to say that this place is impeccable and amazing. Only went to spend the day at the beach and ended up staying for the night. Neil sorry if the spelling is wrong, what a guy was a pleasure to meet you. You and your team have made my experience the best it could have been, the vibe the place has and the artistic decor is just perfect. Worth every penny even more to be honest. I'll be back in December. Big thanks to you and your team

After having stayed here for an amazing ten days, I can honestly say that I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Cumbuco. This place is like paradise on earth! We even saw humming birds, small lizards and loads of othe beautiful exotic birds. Very exotic feeling, especially with all the amazing trees and flowers that are out all year round! All the staff are friendly and polite, the well stocked buffet breakfast has something for everyone I would think and the owner and family are very accommodating. No wonder they have such a high review score. They'll call you a taxi if you want, give any advice you need, nothing appears too much trouble. Drinks are available all day, including free coffee, water and cake all day! Loads of interesting little chill out areas, lovely pool and jacuzzi. Only a five minute stroll to the beach and a few chilled nearby bars/eateries. Only ten minutes walk to the town, maybe less, where there are some nice shops and bars including live bands in the evening. Whole heartedly recommended. Thanks guys for a great time.

Very clean , great air conditioning and comfortable beds. Walking distance to the town and beach . Very friendly staff who couldn't be more helpful from ordering taxis to helping with late checkout etc . Looking forward to next time. Very good breakfast !

Best breakfast in Cumbuco. Great service and super friendly. I can’t say enough about how fantastic Xaina is. This is my second time coming here for breakfast. during carnival, I ended up stranded and the staff at Xá ina took me in. Although they didn’t have any rooms available, they still found a room for me inside their hotel. Thank you Neil Melhor café da manhã em Cumbuco. Ótimo serviço e super amigável. Não posso dizer o suficiente sobre o quão fantástica Xaina é. Esta é a segunda vez que venho aqui para o café da manhã. no carnaval, acabei encalhada e o pessoal do Xá ina me acolheu. Apesar de não terem quartos disponíveis, ainda assim conseguiram um quarto para mim dentro do hotel. obrigado neil

This place is fantastic and it's staff are the best i've experienced. I originally booked another place and was instantly disappointed by the room there so went to check a few other places and moved straight away. I knew straight away this would be a good experience. Delicious breakfast with a wide variety. Spacious rooms that are regularly cleaned and looked after. The staff were constantly helpful. My luggage was delayed by the airline and the staff helped me retrieve it as I don't speak Portuguese. Neil the owner is a genuine and fantastic host willing to help with anything possible and constantly aware of what needs to be done around the place to make sure everyone enjoys. Recommending it to all my friends and anyone reading this. I came to kiteboard and there are lockers so you don't have to put your gear in your room and is a short walk to the beach and main kitesurf beach clubs.

Xaina is a great pousada situated in Cumbuco closeby to the beach. The pousada is easy to find and has really nice decorations on the wall surrounding the pousada. As mentioned it is closeby to the beach; approximately 200-250 m2 (separated by road). Parking is available outside the pousada but with guard and camera at night. Service at reception is good and friendly. Rooms are available both on ground floor and 1st floor. Ground floor rooms are more spacious and have a small outside seating area. 1st floor rooms have a balcony available. Our room was well maintained and very nicely decorated. Compliments for that. Housekeeping is doing a great job and is also very friendly. The pousada in general is well maintained with a nice garden / pool area. The jacuzzi is also a nice +. The garden itself is also beautiful and as a garden / plant lover that is definately worth kudos. The pousada has a small kitchen and bar area where drinks are served. Nice touch and we had some nice cocktails. Great work on that! In the morning this is also the area where the breakfast is served. Offered options at the breakfast are good. Nice selection of fruits, bread and you can opt for tapioca, cuzcuz etc. Quality is OK but can be better. Won't go too much in detail but pay some more attention to the tapioca and pao de queijo. All together though we have had a great time at Xaina and will definately come back when we are in Cumbuco again!
