Our favorite inn! Our family of 4 has been coming annually for 11 years each winter to ski at nearby Okemo. Julie and Mike are wonderful hosts. Rooms are lovely and spotless. Breakfasts are delicious and creative. Cookies and hot apple cider after skiing and if you are lucky to stay here on a Saturday- Mike’s chocolate cake. Really, the best. Highly recommended!

Helpful inn keepers, went above and beyond to get us to a massage location near by after we had an injury on our trip. Nice change of pace with the burrito dinner. Great history of the Inn was provided in a book at the inn. The built in pool was a bonus. I am not a swimmer but it was nice to get in and cool off and then just relax around it. Cookies are always available and yummy.

We came into town late in order to ski with friends the next day. The room was wonderful, cozy, and quiet. Breakfast the next day was superior. We have stayed in several bed-and-breakfast, and we find this one to be one of the better ones. You cannot go wrong staying here.

My family and I stayed at the Golden Stage Inn for 5 days this December. Before going I saw that they had all five star reviews -- and now having stayed there, I understand why! The Inn is charming, welcoming, and incredibly clean and comfortable. They were beyond accommodating with my being gluten and dairy free, making me delicious breakfasts every morning with homemade baked treats. Between the homemade cookies (gluten free for me), the hot apple cider every afternoon, and the lovely rooms -- it was a truly perfect experience.

What a wonderful Inn! The beauty of the Inn in itself is unbelievable. The Inn keepers make you feel special and are ready for your every need. All the while making it seem easy. The food is absolutely wonderful! You definitely will enjoy your stay. A must stay in Vermont!

What a wonderful B&B! We only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed longer. Clean, well-appointed rooms and comfy beds. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Our timing was good as we were there for the honey festival, Julie and Mike are great hosts!

A very welcoming atmosphere by husband and wife who also do beekeeping. Breakfasts are over the top delicious and quite ample. Rooms are comfy with very soft bed linens, bee toiletry products which were hydrating and smelled great. Very “green” in philosophy and use local products as much as possible even the Lake Champlain chocolate on the pillow. Plus a gift bag with handwarmers, nutrition bar, chapstick for skiers. They fill every detail and needs their guests may have. Loved decor, history of the inn books, afternoon soups and mulled cider. Cute sheep and eggs from chickens out back. I have stayed in many B&Bs here and abroad and this was the best one I have ever experienced! Also a great value.

We spent a night at the Golden Stage Inn as a part of the Inn to Inn Walking Tour in August 2023. We returned at the end of the tour for an extra night at the Golden Stage Inn before flying home.This inn has everything I look for when booking a bed and breakfast inn: A historic home, a scenic location, delicious food, and thoughtful hosts. The owners keep bees and serve their own honey for breakfast. They also have sheep which can be seen munching the grass outside in the morning. The house and grounds are quite beautiful. The interior of the home is tastefully decorated and uncluttered. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are updated. The attention to detail is evident everywhere. We spent one night in Otis's room (the jetted tub is amazing) and one night in Rev. Warren's room. My only regret is that we didn't get to stay longer. This is a beautiful place to relax.

As we drove into Maine and saw the motto "The way life should be!" I was reminded to write an overdue review for the Golden Stage Inn because it truly is the way an inn should be. We enjoyed every moment of our too short stay...the local chocolates on our pillows, the jetted tub in the beautiful Otis Room, Bee Kind products, luxurious sheets, yummy homemade cookies, and fresh flowers on our table as we enjoyed a delicious breakfast with a view of the garden. We took an evening walk into town and also around the property to see the sheep, chickens, and inviting pool. Thank you Julie and Mike for being friendly, gracious and efficient hosts.
