Pestana Cayo Coco Beach Resort

Booked at the last minute to recharge my batteries onto the sun and relax before leaving to work for 6 months in the freezing cold, I went to Memories Caraïbes. According to the reviews it was a wonderful place.... I was really disappointed when I arrived, I was crying. The place was under renovation, crowded with people on the party, 200 people on 50 meters of beach stuck to each other, it smelled very bad of fish carrion everywhere on the resort because there is stagnant water on the right side of the resort, no lobby, I didn't find the place clean. I don't want to disrespect the Cubans who work there, but I have visited dozens of places in Cuba and this resort is a dump. Fortunately, I was very lucky and I thank heaven. Sunwing upgraded me to Playa Paraiso. A truly wonderful place for those who love tranquility and wide open spaces. The pool, the place and the beach are clean. I ate well, but Cuba is Cuba, all the resorts have almost the same food every day. But they don't lack anything, real eggs, bread, butter, etc. There is a pizza oven every lunchtime. There are several restaurants but only one is open, they don't have enough visitors. The rooms are ok and I didn't lack hot water. The resort is a huge garden to discover. I have visited dozens of places in Cuba and this is the place where there is the most variety of trees and plants, it is really beautiful. The beach is beautiful and the sand is fine and white, the only downside is that there are a lot of shells and a few rocks. Thank you Sunwing to have upgraded me to the Playa Paraiso and thank you to that resort it was an amazing trip.

The resort is clean and the staff are amazing. The bartender at the beach bar Norge and at the pool bar Danelyse are so friendly. They made some of our favourite drinks. They even taught us few words in Spanish. We have come 4 times to this resort and will return. This was our first time in November it was much quieter then we were used to but we enjoyed the resort the same. The girls in the buffet were also amazing, friendly and quick to clear away dirty dishes and fill our cups. Giesela, Sandra, Yesenia, and Yoa. Carlos the gardener worked hard to keep the grounds looking so manicured. I enjoyed getting to know the staff. Dianet kept are room clean and stocked. This was a great vacation. I will return soon.

Just wanted to say that Alejandro from the entertainment team is really good at making us participate and making us have fun. He is always smiling and happy. He has a lot of energy and we love that. Thank you for this beautiful 2 weeks at playa paraíso ❤️❤️

Wanderfull holidays, te food was amazing, overall well done, te favor was fantastic. If You visit that hotel don't forget go to they pizzas area, Reinier "chacal" is the Best one i know, Even in Canadá i never taste pizzas like these one. Ford sure in january i Will ve there again.

It was my first time at Playa Paraiso, it was incredible. The service was really good, specially Reception, thank you very much Ailín, Jose, Liani, Adela and Yisel, they were so kind and lovely. I had great times talking to them, they are so good at speaking English. The hotel is clean y beautiful, but what I really love is the staff. Thank you Reception Staff

Amazing holidays, the staff and the conduction are amazing. I don't have words to describe the beautiful beach and the kindness of their employees. I want to say thanks in special to Annelys, Ernesto, Rachel and Amanda for inviting me to the repeat customer dinner. And that beautiful cocktail in Hemingway square. Sorry but I don't remember all the names. If you have any issues here, the guys in customer service going to figure out for sure, in reception they going to receiving you with a great smile, Jose and Gissel are the best one there.
