AmericInn by Wyndham Cedar Falls

This hotel is going through a remodel. We lucked out and got one of the new rooms. Having worked construction, the equipment and supplies didn’t bother us. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was OK. New room was super clean. They had finished the lower hall of one wing when we visited. Convenient location. This place will be a 5 star when they finish. I got the impression it has recently changed hands. Bottom lone: We would stay here again.

Somewhere in the reservation process, it should ah e been mentioned that this property is undergoing renovations. Construction debris throughout the common areas (nails, screws, etc) our room was very dirty. It obviously hadn’t been vacuumed or cleaned very well. We found pistachio shells all over the floor. Because of our long drive, and the fact that we had prepaid for the room, we were not inclined to seek other options. This was also apparently the only room of the type we booked left available.

Not worth the money they charge. If you going through remodeling, you should charged less not more. Make sure you put the light switches are put back in the whole with a plate!

I REALLY wanted to like this place better because the front desk staff was so nice, and the lobby/breakfast area/pool are so hopeful. But we checked in a little late and I am writing my review while still here, but our room is NOT clean to where I feel comfortable. The floor is GROSS. Like gum right in the middle of the beds, smooshed into the floor, but not entirely smashed; pieces of chips in the corners of the bathroom...we have not had chips and certainly not within the first minutes of being in the room; hair in the shower. Our kids were too tired by the time we got here, so I'm just hoping the beds are clean enough. They seem to be. But I'm pretty grossed out and was hoping for better.

Nice stay for a quick trip to Cedar Falls. Room was clean, front desk staff was friendly. Parking is a little tight.

The evening of my visit found the Americinn in the slow steady process of upgrading. In spite of the need for upgrading and the process underway we were given a well-cared for room that was clean and comfortable. The staff was Ver helpful and we were revived and refreshed for our next day’s trip! Only suggestion: improve signage to find the Americinn!

I stayed there for a week during which internet was not working with laptop! I asked for help from front desk and was told it’s a known issue and present since 2/3 weeks! Was told to use mobile hotspot for connection! It was worse experience ever !! Couldn’t work from hotel ands had to take personal leave! Would never recommend this hotel which couldn’t fix internet like issue with Few days let alone weeks or months!!

Overall, I found that this was a very nice hotel. The hotel looked very nice from the outside and the inside was clean and well-kept. Our room was very nice and clean. The beds were especially comfortable. Most of the staff seemed to be nice and very friendly, but the lady that checked us out was not.

Great location. Friendliness on a scale of one to ten was about a 3; one of the staff was great and the rest were kinda just there. Overall the hotel visit at AmericInn was quite lackluster. The room was not very clean at all and smelled odd. The outlets were loose and you could not plug anything in except for in one place. So that basically gave you half an outlet. I would not stay here again.
