Hotel la Torre

We stayed at The La Torre hotel for two nights after our flight back to Manchester was cancelled due to a Strike at Milan airport the day before our departure (Saturday 15th July) & couldn't get a flight back until Monday 17th July . We were left in a turmoil as we had to be out of our accommodation Saturday morning & managed to find this Hotel on *********** & booked one of the family room suites for 2 nights. We made the booking & set off on the 1.5hrs drive to the La Torre Hotel with my wife & her daughter & 10yr old son. We arrived at the hotel at 11am in the small village & the booking was confirmed but it had only been booked for 2 adults ( Our mistake) & to make matters worse it was no children under 14!! The receptionist was absolutely brilliant & managed to sort & allowed our 10yrs old grandson to stay as she understood the mistake was genuine. We were taken to the family room & we were very pleasantly surprised as the room was spotless & spacious. The hotel has a charming rustic feel to it & is full of character. Yes as previous review states there isn't aircon in the room & it was warm at night but this wasn't a major issue & the ambiance of the Hotel made up for this. Any help with local restaurants or info about the village the hotel Staff were fantastic & they could not do enough for us. This is a lovely 3 star hotel with brilliant staff & i wouldn't hesitate to return if we ever stayed in the Lake Como area again. We were very impressed with this hotel, it is clean, comfortable, friendly staff who make you feel at home, great service and great food. Plenty of time to inform us about the area and how to get around. Definitely will come back and highly recommended.

Accueil très sympathique. Arrivés sans réservation et chambre disponibles. Chambre spacieuse et très propre. Petit-déj excellent et copieux. Belle piscine mais il faisait trop froid.... Le personnel est top. Prix raisonnables. A recommander

Soggiornato 2 notti all'Hotel La Torre, il 16 e 17 agosto, al termine di un giro sui laghi d'Orta, Maggiore, Como, come quarto e ultimo albergo del nostro giro. Con mia moglie, la sera della seconda cena, abbiamo simulato un mix tra i programmi 4 Hotel e 4 Ristoranti, mettendo varie categorie da valutare, come location, servizio, ristorante, cuscino, camera. I voti sono stati dati ognuno all'insaputa dell'altro, e ...attenzione...il vincitore è risultato l'Hotel La Torre !! Ringraziamo davvero per la cordiale accoglienza, per lo squisita colazione e l'ottima cucina, un soggiorno davvero piacevole e rilassante.

Hôtel bien situé dans le Val d'Intelvi, "camp de base" idéal pour explorer les lacs de Côme et Lugano, mais aussi faire de superbes randos en montagne. Les chambres sont spacieuses, propres, le petit-déjeuner est excellent, le personnel est charmant, très prévenant...et parle français si nécessaire. Concernant la note globale, je mets 5, car nous étions dans une chambre qui donne sur l'arrière de hôtel, côté piscine, où la vue est par ailleurs magnifique. Nos amis qui dormaient dans une chambre côté rue auraient mis 4, car le bruit des véhicules est vraiment important, à garder en tête lors d'une réservation si on veut passer un agréable moment

parlo del ristorante per una cena, titolare gentile ma non basta , vino bianco caldo non è accettabile, spaghetti al pesce di lago un mattone , risotto con persico molto unto, filetto tagliato molto basso quasi a bistecca.
