Leopardsong Manor

Awesome and good property.

Excellent staff who were very warm. Clean rooms, early breakfast availability, beautiful grounds, several quiet spaces to work, very homey feel, access to kitchenette. Was also very safe. Only minor downsides (they have not put me off staying there again) were: - a few insects and ants in the bathroom - attributable to the fact that there’s a lot of greenery - would have liked a few more options for breakfast (eg. pancakes, waffles, alternative milk options like soy or almond milk to accommodate guests who are lactose intolerant) - appreciated the tight security for the estate but it was also a bit of an inconvenience whenever we needed to get an Uber to pick us/drop us off or a friend was visiting or getting food delivered because a code is needed for every entry/exit and it is only valid for 30mins. It also meant having to call the hotel manager to request a code even when returning late at night which we always felt bad about. A daily code shared with all guests would have been great. - You’re on your own for lunch and dinner so just need to plan appropriately if you want food delivered. Despite the above I truly enjoyed my stay and would 100% come back. I loved the peacefulness about Leopardsong. Special thanks to Barbara and Julietta

Brief overnight stay before driving to safari - very clean, friendly and excellent room (large deep soak bath behind bed, nice balcony, comfortable bed - only possible negative for some, the toilet is in the bedroom within a frosted glass shower enclosure - so you need to be comfortable with whoever you share the room. Reservation re location, most people seem to drive to the restaurant / country club - where we prefer to walk. Located in high security gated estate with free parking.
