Hike Smith Rocks, 45 minutes. Float the Deschutes River through the Old Mill district, 25 minutes away, hop out of the river and enjoy a concert at the Hayden Homes amphitheater, also in the Old Mill District.If those attractions are too far, we are only 11 miles from Whychus Creek trail head, check the trail status before going snow lingers for quite a while in that area. Not into hiking and you want to see our beautiful mountains a little more up close and personal take a peaceful drive up McKenzie highway and enjoy Dee Wright Observatory. It’s only 17 miles. The road is closed during the winter for travelers safety so please check to make sure the road is open to motorists. On your way don’t forget to stop and appreciate the view at Pole creek ranch. It is well worth the stop.While Sisters is our closest town just 5 miles North. Bend is just 15 miles South. Redmond 25-30 miles South East, and then there is our wonderful cozy cabin nestled in the middle. Truly a perfect get away for a small group and a furry friend if they so choose.The cabins Wi-Fi is Grandmas house and password is grandmashouse. I know very clever. We have a smart tv in the living room and it is connected to the Wi-Fi. When you arrive you are free to log in to your streaming services but try to remember to log out. If you forget we will do our best to double check and sign your account out.The mini split, which is located above the bookcase, is the heat and AC for the cabin. The settings are on the right side of the unit. It is a bit difficult to see unless you are over 6’, so there is a step stool in the bathroom closet. Please be careful.You will notice in the bathroom that we have an interior dryer vent system. It does a good job but does heat the bathroom up while she is running. So if you would be kind enough to turn the bathroom fan on while running the dryer that would be appreciated.That leads me to my next instruction. The bathroom light and fan are not in the bathroom. They are on the right side of the entry to the bathroom.The bathroom faucet hot and cold lines got set up backwards and we have that on our list to fix but for the time being please note you will have to use the faucet in opposite directions.There is a beautiful juniper tree that has been debarked in the middle of the house please do not climb on it or allow animals to scratch or chew on it. We are quite fond of it.If your dog has an accident please do your best to clean it up. There are towels, wipes, and spray provided so it can be taken care of immediately. We have had many dogs over our years and know accidents happen. We are not judging we just ask you do your best to clean it up and if you require assistance or have questions please reach out. That’s what I am here for and will do my best to accommodate. On to the outside. We do have a small pond that has gold fish in it. Dogs are not allowed in it. Please also pay extra close attention to your little ones while staying here. There is no fence to stop them from falling in. There is an outside fire-pit. Please keep the size of the fire reasonable and proportionate to the size of the pit. There is wood on the back deck that you are free to use. Watch your head, the roof slants.When your dog is outside we ask that you be outside with them. They do not need to be leashed but for safety and to prevent digging or swimming we ask that you be outside when they are outside. The property is landscaped and there will be many different species of plants. We cannot guarantee that they will all be harmless if ingested to animals. That is also a reason we ask that you be outside when the dog is. We have provided dog waste bags and they are in the lower drawer to the left of the fridge. When you’re done using them please put them in the garbage can located in the shed in the backyard. That is also where your garbage bags can go as well. If the can becomes full please reach out and we can trade out for a new empty can.We do love this little cabin. It holds a great deal of memories for our family, and we hope other families will create wonderful memories as well. Perched atop a butte, sweeping unobstructed views of the Cascade Mountain range welcomes you. The cabin's unique hand-scraped logs throughout all the rooms bring about an old charm that seemingly inspires calm and serenity. Lots of natural light brighten the cabin in time for your morning tea or coffee. At quiet times, you can hear the neigh of horses and whistle calls for working dogs to herd sheep. On occasion, you may hear the soft hum of a distant train passing by. Throughout the day, the landscape changes as its cool colors from the blue sky above, green grasslands and cream-colored fields below slowly darken to reveal the reds, pinks and purple of dusk. Sunsets here are so captivating! At night, many constellations appear across the open sky for your star-gazing enjoyment.Cabin PropertyModern decor and updates compliment the cabin's original cabinetry, log design and wood surfaces. Floorboard squeaks and wood door creaks add to its rustic charm. Electric baseboards and a large wood pellet stove heats the living and bedroom spaces. A mini-split system offers air-conditioning for the summer months. The air purifiers located in the dining area, loft and bedrooms promote an allergy-sensitive environment. A 65" Smart TV offers a great entertainment experience with Starlink as the internet provider. Strong wifi strength 25+ Mbps offers the flexibility to stay connected while on vacation! Situated atop 30 feet of rim rock and amongst open expanse of rocky ground, please be mindful to the activity of small children and pets while on the property. Neighboring horses are nearby, and wildlife (e.g. deer) can appear in the area on occasion. A stretch of gravel road (about 1/10 of a mile) leads up to the property, in which neighbors closely monitor. The climb to the cabin is steep and paved. Sport utility vehicles are best suited for a more comfortable experience, however other vehicles can certainly make the climb. During the winter months, traction devices/ 4-WD vehicles will be needed during icy conditions.The kitchen is well-stocked with cookware, bakeware, basic cooking oil, spices and cleaning supplies. Beach and bath towels, soft linens and bedding are also provided. The primary bedroom is located upstairs with a queen bed and ensuite shower bathroom. The loft offers an open space for reading, knitting, playing board games and viewing out with a telescope on-site. A bluetooth music player sits snuggly at the corner for your music entertainment! On the main level, a second bedroom offers a queen bed, while the third bedroom offers two beds as a twin-over-full bunk style. Up to 7 guests allowable, however with this bunk style, 6 adults will be the maximum number accepted. All rooms look out to the North. The hallway on the main leads to a larger bathroom with a tub/ shower combo, hallway closet, a laundry room, kitchen and open living space.As for the space outside the cabin, an outdoor grill is nestled under a covered porch that opens to the West. Porch swings in both the front and back invite you to sit and relax. Adirondack chairs circle the firepit area; a perfect spot to enjoy the company of others and view the night sky. A wood-burning fire pit with logs and kindling center the outdoor space; however, a propane fire pit takes its place during the summer months. Outdoor play includes regulation-size horseshoe pits with forged steel horseshoes, cornhole and ladder toss. For safety puposes, external security cameras are in view of entry door and porch access. Another camera is in view of the driveway upon entering/ leaving the property.PetsUp to 2 well-behaved dogs are allowed on the property. *Please identify the count of your furry friends at time of booking.* Pet fee is $50. For additional pets, please inquire as an additional charge will be $25 per pet. Pets are taken care of with food/water bowls, cleaning and wash supplies. However, please bring your pet beds, mats or crates. Unfortunately, we do not allow pets on beds and furniture, and so an additional fee will be applied if excessive pet hair and/ or stains are found on them. When we stay, we often do a morning river trail hike at Smith Rock, a late breakfast at One Street Down Cafe in Redmond, and an afternoon visit to the Alpaca farms! Our cabin sleeps 4 people comfortably in the 2 upstairs bedrooms, has 2 full bathrooms, a stocked kitchen, and a private back patio featuring a brand new hot tub. This is a dog friendly home so you are more than welcome to let your furry friend tag along!This cozy 2 bedroom A-Frame is the classic landing spot for your Central Oregon getaway. You get the best of both worlds with this location as the home sits on a peaceful and secluded 4.5 acre lot, yet is still just minutes from Downtown Sisters. Downstairs is an open concept layout with the kitchen, dining area, and living room all right next to each other making it the perfect spot for all 4 guests to hangout. The kitchen is well-equipped for our guests to make meals at the home, and the living room is very comfortable with plenty of seating, a stone propane fireplace, and a smart TV for streaming. Also downstairs is a full bathroom & laundry room with a washer/dryer that is available for guests to use.Off of the living room is the back patio that features a brand new hot tub, beautiful concrete dining table, Adirondack chairs, and a propane BBQ. The metal “pool” that is pictured outside is empty so we ask that guests not fill this up as this could be a safety hazard for children. You will love this wonderful 3 bedroom 2 bath ranch cabin, which is located on the private outer circle of the Circle 4 complex. You are minutes away from the Village Mall and Fort Rock park. This comfortable home sleeps 6 with a queen sofa pullout for 8. We also have a twin blow-up in the kids room. There is a wrap around deck with a BBQ and a large hot tub. The open kitchen & dining area feature a gas wood burning river rock fireplace. We also have a second refrigerator in the garage, so you can stock up on some items. The Master suite on the upper level has a King size bed, TV and private bath with shower. On the main level there are 2 bedrooms. One has a Queen bed, and the other has 2 Twins. There is a full bath to accommodate both rooms. This is a 3 bedroom 2 bath unit. We have a washer and dryer in the unit. We also have a garage that is full of toys. Bikes, a Ping Pong table as well as Winter Snow toys. We also store the fire wood in the garage, so when its cold the fireplace will keep it cozy. We work very hard to keep our unit up to the standards that we would want when we travel ourselves.
