We are located about 23 miles from the center of the Golden Heart of Alaska, also known as Fairbanks and 35 miles from Chena Hot Springs. If you want to see the Aurora Borealis, the back yard has a great clearing and you’re far enough away from the city lights that the opportunity is there. Close in proximity to rivers for fishing or kayaking, and great hiking trails, and not to mention, wildlife can be seen right from the back door. We are within walking distance of a local store with access to basic food, gas, and a post office in true Alaskan fashion. A pamphlet provided in the home during your stay identifies local restaurants and activities for all seasons. Whether it’s dog mushing or keeping warm in the hot springs in the winter or hiking in the summer, this home gives to the opportunity to experience it all!Red Bear Den has a log cabin feel with cozy modern amenities. Decorated with pieces of local Alaskan artwork and furniture, this beautiful home will give you a taste of Alaska that you’re looking for, with the benefit of indoor plumbing. At 1300 square feet, this home will sleep 6 adults with 3 bedrooms and a sleeper sofa. There are two bathrooms and a laundry room with access to a washer and dryer during your stay. The kitchen is equipped with refrigerator, double stove, dishwasher, Keurig, and basic cooking essentials that are provided. If you’re looking for a family friendly home, this is it! A Pack and play, high chair, and a stroller are available. Satellite Cable, DVD player, and High Speed Wireless Internet are also available for use and entertainment. This beautiful log cabin is situated in the woods on the outskirts of North Pole, Alaska. It is easily accessible in the winter months or in the summer. Guests don’t need to worry about the cold temperatures with the year round heating system. The cabin is cozy even in the coldest of winter temperatures. The cabin has running water, full kitchen and full bathroom (shower and tub) inside the cabin. Moose Tracks Cabin feels like a home away from home. The cabin has a kitchen and bathroom (sink, toilet, and shower/bathtub) inside the cabin. The kitchen is full of necessities and niceties to make a trip more comfortable. The dining area has a table large enough to comfortably sit 4 adults. Some pantry items are available for guests such as coffee, assortment of teas, salt/pepper, oil, and a few other things. A high chair is available upon request. I do not keep it in the cabin, so please let me know if you need it prior to your arrival.The living room has plenty of space to relax while you enjoy each other's company or watch something on TV. Guests can easily log into their Netflix, Amazon, YouTube accounts, etc. with the available wi-fi. The cabin has a full bathroom with bathtub and washing machine/dryer located inside the cabin for use. Upstairs into the half loft is the bedroom with a queen bed with an open closet and dresser. The couch can be made into a sleeper sofa that can be utilized as needed. A pack and play is available upon request. I do not keep it in the cabin, so please let me know if you need it prior to your arrival. There are blackout shades in the bedroom as well as in the living room room area. Up to two pets are welcome, but I do ask that you contact me prior to booking just so I am aware before your arrival. We do ask guests to only bring pets that are potty trained, that they clean up after their pets, and that are not left unattended.On the day of check-in (usually around 2 pm), I will send the check-in information, including the deadbolt code. You will then be able to check-in at your convenience. Inside, a ladder to the loft brings you to a comfortable area with one queen bed, dresser, and it's own lighting.In the living area there is another queen bed, next to a spacious closet stocked with extra bedding and fun things for the kids! Along with a smaller closet stocked with cleaning supplies.The couch is a pull out couch bed for extra sleeping arrangement!The kitchen area, and countertop, is stocked with coffee and tea, a two burner cooktop, and all the necessities for cooking. From September-April if the northern lights are out, you can view them right outside the cabin. Come and relax in this calm, stylish space. The aurora is right outside the cabin on any given night...Side note: Staying in the city of Fairbanks makes viewing the northern lights extremly difficult due to light pollution. One bedroom has a queen size bed, the other two twins. There is also a carpeted attached garage that gives additional space and has a double bed. You actually enter the house through the garage so, except for the door that makes it handy to bring in luggage, you wouldn't know it's a garage. It sits on a three and a half acre lot right next to the cabin with the addition that we have used for VRBO for the past two years. The original owner built what is now our home for them and this cabin for his folks in the 1950’s.
