Our newly renovated (1 bedroom/1 loft/2 bath/sleeps 6) cozy cabin sits on 12 acres and feels remote, but is only 2.5 miles from downtown Travelers Rest. It is just minutes from the Swamp Rabbit Trail, numerous state parks, endless shopping opportunities, family (and dog) friendly eating establishments, well-known breweries, wineries, distilleries, and meaderies (yes, mead!). Our closest town, Travelers Rest (TR as the locals call it) is an up-and-coming gem in the heart of Greenville County's most beautiful travel and adventure destinations. Only 15 minutes away is Greenville, SC--one of the most beautiful and cleanest cities in Blue Ridge Country. A little farther north (45 minutes) is Asheville, NC, home of the Biltmore Estate and Winery. Drive a short distance to endless hiking and biking trails, river rafting, skiing, tubing, other quaint towns, and more!You may not even want to leave the 12-acre property with trails, outdoor games, hammocks, a stream, a fire pit, indoor games, puzzles, crafts, books, DVDs, internet TV, WIFI, and more! Plus, an updated kitchen with brand new appliances, quartz countertops, and country-chic dishware and utensils. If you like to cook, we've got what you need, if you don't, food is just a phone call or short drive away! Bringing some Littles along? We have a baby gate, children's books, games, and crafts. Bringing your fur baby along (20 lbs. or less dog)? We have a kennel, bed, blankets, rugs, towels, long leash, toys, a brush, and bowls just for them. Even though it feels far away, you don't need a 4-wheel drive to get here, any vehicle will do. Uber and Lyft are available from either the Asheville or Greenville/Spartanburg airport; it is a 30-45 min. drive, appx. $50-$80 ride share fee. But, we do recommend a car if you want to explore the many hiking trails, Greenville, Greer and other outlying towns. When you're not here, we are, so we have designed it to be the quaint retreat that we all need it to be. Take a deep breath, rest, relax, and rejuvenate. Escape to Sticks & Twine Cabin located at the base of Paris Mountain, conveniently located near downtown Travelers Rest, as well as downtown Greenville and Paris Mountain State Park. Awake to the sound of goats and chickens on this working mini farm where you will have three private acres to relax and enjoy. This 60 year old structure has been completely renovated into a one bedroom cabin that has everything you need. It also has a large deck with adirondack chairs and a picnic table, with plenty of space to enjoy your morning coffee, afternoon lunch or dinner from the grill. Our cabin has many appeals, being spacious is not one of them. It sleeps 2 comfortably and we have a blow up mattress for 1 extra (and have hosted families of 4 with 2 small children). Nearby, you will find a greenhouse that is yours to peruse and a large fire pit with additional Adirondack chairs, horseshoes, and cornhole. Walk up to the barn to visit your neighbors (the Goats) and give them some provided treats. This property has a lot of history! You will see evidence of the former pool, now greenhouse, and pool house, which is now the cabin, for three estates up on the mountain in the 1960's.Cyclists flock to this area and from the driveway are known routes up and down the mountain. THE SPACE:Ascend up the 900’, well maintained, concrete, gravel, and beautiful tree lined driveway to Napaw Log Cabin. *A SUV, AWD, or 4WD is required. The cabin is hidden among the giant hardwood trees on the top of a secluded, privately owned mountain. Napaw has its own on-site hiking trail down to the Saluda River for your water enjoyment; deer with their fawns are always close, and love being fed by our guests. You’ll feel like you’re in a magical world, away from it all. Nature at its best!Just relax in rocking or lounge chairs. Get cozy by the outdoor fireplaces. There, you can fish for native trout or cool off in the river that borders 1500’ of our private land. Or you may just want to sit and enjoy the outdoors while watching the river flow. The kids love the fun creek to play in there too.*note-during the hot, dry summer months, the river may be low. During the late fall, winter, and spring months, it will probably be high. Use your own judgement concerning getting in the river.On your way to and from the river, you’ll pass the rustic treehouse. Feel free to stop, sit, rest, and watch the birds and wildlife.This hiking trail is a skill set mix of easy, moderate to strenuous (a good work out for a little stretch hiking back up)As with any trail hiking, always be aware of your surroundings.
