From your cabin is a 15 -20 minute hiking trail to the lake for a viewing of Denali Mountain and 16 miles drive to the Denali National Park entrance.AWD or 4 wheel drive vehicle is required for driving to the cabin or parking in the 2 wheel drive area and with a 15 minute hike up the ridge road to the cabin. Transportation is available to the cabin for checking in and out from the 2 wheel drive parking area.Cabin is set-up for two guests and provides- Two chairs and table,- Electric heaters with remote control. -Small refrigerator with small freezer,- Microwave, - Keurig coffee maker - Two twin/single beds with pillows, sheets and light blankets.- A wash and gray water dry sink with 5 gals. water jug for washing over the sink. (bring drinking bottle water, cooking and eating utensils, etc..)- Outhouse toilet is about 50 feet away from cabin. - Sorry, this cabin has NO shower.- Laundry, showers, fuel stations, groceries & supplies stores and Dinning are available just 5 miles south in the town of Healy.- Pets are welcome with a pet fee, but cannot be left unattended in the cabin or on the property.- Additional guest for each person after two are welcome with a fee. Enjoy great fishing, swimming, and other water activities or stop at Black Diamond Resort for tundra golf, horse pulled wagon rides, ATV excursions, or fine dining.Our quaint town of Healy is the home to several unique dining experiences, an amazing coffee spot, local brewery, and so much more. Down the heart of the community is the Parks Highway, which takes you to an outdoor adventure at Denali National Park less than 15 minutes away.The authentic Alaskan cabin has an open great room, with a queen hide-a-bed, a futon, and a built-in dining area. There is a queen blow-up mattress available that is able to sleep two guests in this area. The sitting room, with a day bed and an additional twin mattress, opens to a private patio. Up a steep stairs, which adds to the experience, leads to the loft. The loft has a comfortable full bed, a futon, exhilarating views, and additional amenities. The kitchen is full service, with fridge, sink, microwave and stove. Off the main entrance deck, the mountain views are beyond description. The bathroom offers a sink, a water conservation shower, and a waterless Separett toilet. However, for those truly desiring the full Alaskan experience, there is an “elite” outhouse out back as well.
