Welcome to Moondance Cabin, your new favorite cabin located just outside the Red River Gorge in Daniel Boone National Forest. This cabin was just built in 2021 and includes all the modern amenities of home, with a beautiful view included. This cabin features an open and bright kitchen and living room, with vaulted ceiling and large windows showing off the expansive valley. The living room also has a gas fireplace, cozy couch and love seat and plenty of additional seating. There are 2 bedrooms, one offers a king-size bed, and the other bedroom includes a queen-size bed, and a bunk bed with two queen sized beds.This layout offers privacy for couples and plenty of space for families. You will never get bored when you are staying at Moondance cabin! This cabin offers cornhole, horseshoes, and a fire pit for smores. For rainy days, there are plenty of board games, puzzles, cards, and all the streaming services you can watch.The back deck area is completely covered and has an outdoor dining area with seating for 6. The hot tub overlooks the valley and offers a wonderful view of the valley. The screened-in porch is the perfect place to relax and read or enjoy your morning coffee. Bring your favorite steak to grill on the outdoor charcoal grill and enjoy dinner al fresco on the lower deck while watching an exciting cornhole match.Moondance cabin is located outside Frenchburg, Kentucky, in the Indian Creek resort, just a short, beautiful drive from Red River Gorge hiking trails, Natural Bridge State Park, and Cave Run Lake. Newly remodeled 2 bedroom, 1 bath A-frame cabin with beautiful views in all directions. Cabin is located 1/4 mile from Long Bow Marina at Cave Run Lake and short distance (30 miles) to Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge State Park. It is nestled in Daniel Boone National Forest in Menifee County. Recreational activities included miles of trails to hike, rock climbing, boating and fishing in the area as you are near the lake and gorge. These are located off the property.Our cabin has 2 stories with kitchen, living room, bathroom and laundry closet on the lower level. Kitchen does have a dishwasher and stocked with your basics to prepare your favorite meals. The bathroom has a 36” shower only with extra storage for your personals and stocked with towels and extra washcloths. There is no bathtub. The laundry closet has washer and dryer. You will find pillows and extra blankets. The living room has a TV stand that has a fireplace. You can enjoy the flame of fire with or without using the heater. Sofa bed, queen size, available for additional sleeping on main level. This room exits out onto a balcony with outdoor sitting to enjoy the views of Cave Run Lake. You will find 2 bedrooms upstairs with private balconies. Main bedroom has queen bed with lake views. Loft area has 2 twin beds with no interior door but does exit onto private balcony with cliff views. Due to cabin being an A-frame style, steep stairs are used to access the upstairs.For outside sitting, you will find a picnic table located near grill with beautiful views of the lake in front and cliffs behind. Take a stroll up hill pass cabin to find a fire pit and another picnic table with sitting around fire pit. Beyond the sitting area you will find firewood for the fire pit. This property has wild and domestic animals that travel through the property. There are cliffs that create a perimeter to the back of property and large rocks in yard. This cabin is pet friendly with limit of 2 pets, additional fee applies. Please provide own kennel if pet needs to be left alone in cabin. If you enjoy listening to the sounds of the woods, this is a place you would love to see and visit. Wake up to the abundance of birds singing their songs as you start your day. Come, relax and enjoy what nature has to offer. If you enjoy state parks, our cabin is about an hour northeast from Carter Caves State Park and an hour southeast from Natural Bridge State Park. This A frame cabin is a unique 2.5 acre getaway that is nestled in the Daniel BooneNational Forest just minutes away from Cave Run Lake, Broke Leg Falls, Red River Gorge, Morehead, and about 45 minutes from Carter Caves! You will be surrounded by nothing but nature. If you love the outdoors there is plenty to keep you busy... hiking, fishing, boating, kayaking, mountain biking, golfing, and of course if you just want a place to get away from it all this is your spot. There is a gas and charcoal fire grill to cook those burgers and roast the hot dogs. Fire pit out back perfect to roast marshmallows, eat smores and tell a few scary ghost stories. It’s a great place to escape and enjoy the simple simple things in life.Other things to noteThe cabin is at the end of the gravel driveway. The driveway has a steep incline to getup to the main road when leaving the cabin. In the case of rain/snow I would suggestparking at the top and walking down to the cabin. The Bear’s Den is located in the beautiful Daniel Boone National Forest only minutes away from Cave Run Lake and only a short drive to the Red River Gorge. The cabin is located on a private, wooded lot with a partial fenced in yard with room for the kids or pets to play. The property has a large loop driveway with lots of room for parking and easy turn around for guests pulling boat trailers, jet skis, etc. While the cabin gives a secluded feel with all the beautiful trees and wooded areas, you’re conveniently located just minutes from a Dollar General, 12 miles to the small town of Frenchburg, and 17 miles to the larger town of Morehead. The master bedroom has one queen bed with linens/pillows. There is also a large dresser, two nightstands, and a wall shelf for storing clothing/personal items during your visit. The secondary bedroom also has a queen bed with linens/pillows and a large dresser and nightstand for storage of personal belonging and clothing for guests. The Bear’s Den has one full bath with tub/shower, toilet, and a large sink vanity. Several towels, wash cloths, and hand towels are stocked for your stay however, if you need more there’s a washer/dryer located in the laundry closet just off the kitchen. Here you can also find extra trash bags and cleaning supplies that you may need during your stay. The kitchen has modern appliances - oven with range, refrigerator/freezer, microwave - and smaller appliances as well, including a toaster, blender, George Foreman Grill, crock pot, and hand mixer. On the kitchen counter there is also a small “coffee bar” equipped with a Keurig and stocked with complimentary coffee pods, creamer, and sweetener. There is a large supply of dishes - plates, bowls, cups - and silverware stocked as well. You’ll also find basic cooking needs such as oil, non-stick spray, and salt and pepper. The dining table is located just outside the kitchen with a beautiful dining table for four, extra bar stool seating for additional guests is located in the kitchen. The common area has a leather sofa with bed (linens/pillows provided) and a loveseat. There is a 55 inch smart tv so you can enjoy all your favorite streaming apps. There is also a beautiful electric fireplace that you can use with or without the heating option.Outside on the front porch area you’ll find a relaxing porch swing with lots of seating for guests as well. The side porch has additional seating and a grilling area with a propane grill and utensils. There are citronella candles and tiki torches all around the porches as well to keep unwanted pests away. In the fenced in yard area you’ll find one of two fire pit areas with a table with chairs and an umbrella for evenings spent relaxing making s’mores or roasting hot dogs or just enjoying the sounds of the fire. In the back side of the cabin there is another fire pit area with a seating area as well. The Bear’s Den is set up perfectly for enjoying time “in” with your family with lots of outdoor space to enjoy quiet time just relaxing on the porch swing or hanging out by the fire pits. If you visit the area to enjoy Cave Run Lake for fishing, swimming, or skiing you are just moments away. The Red River Gorge also has several wonderful restaurants, hiking, mini golf, a reptile zoo, underground kayaking, and zip lining.
