The house also offers, central heat and A/C along with fast and reliable internet for all of your work and streaming needs. This custom log cabin on the lake is your perfect getaway anytime of the year. With a private dock and one-of-a-kind boat house, there's no better place to spend the lazy days of summer on the water or cozy up by the outdoor firepit on a cool fall night. With 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, this house is perfect for groups and families. It features a master suite on the main level with a King sized bed. Downstairs has three bedrooms: one with a King bed and attached bathroom, another with a King bed and beautiful lake views, and a third bedroom with double bunk beds perfect for kids of all ages. Also downstairs is an additional living room/game room with a (queen) sleeper sofa, TV and foosball table. The lake cabin feel is carried throughout the home's interior, but the real show-stopper happens outside. In the terraced back yard you will find a stone patio with firepit overlooking the lake and down a few more steps is the unique boat house. The boat house has amazing views of the lake and a kitchenette with a full size refrigerator and sink for all your entertaining needs. Lake equipment and toys such as life jackets and kayaks are provided, as well as access to the dock, but BYOB-Bring Your Own Boat! (inquire about boat rental)The house is centrally located on Lake Keowee, allowing a quick boat ride north to the waterfall, or south to the Tiki Hut and Marina. The Lighthouse Restaurant is located directly across the lake from the house. It’s close by and takes about 2 hours in and out to the waterfall by we usually spend about 3 hours due to playing in the falls. Across the road from Yellow Branch is Stump House Tunnel. Bring flashlight. Once in the park the tunnel is to the left and the waterfall is to the right. The tunnel is completely dark and is damp inside, but fun. Short hikes but nice waterfall and interesting tunnel to nowhere. Also from our neighborhood, turn left onto Hwy 28, go to the bridge at the Chattoga River and hike upstream. I don’t know the name of this one but it’s nice and follows the river. Good fishing here also. It’s a little drive but look up Turtle Back Falls. It’s a very nice hike along a river and passes several falls. Easy to get to all 3: Bridal Veil Falls, Dry Falls, Bust your Butt Falls. Just a fun drive with easy little walks. If you just want an easy day you could drive through Highlands, see the waterfalls then drive to Clayton Ga and back to Mountain Rest Lake. Clayton traffic for about 2 miles through town can be a bear on the weekends in the fall.
