It’s totally enclosed and private and you’ll love it.Guest accessThe Cabana is on the waterfront of beautiful Lake Tapps. It's at waters edge inside a private gated residence. Access the property easily from SeaTac international airport. Drive through the entry gate past the first residence and park infront of the second residence. Well send you a picture of your parking place after you book. You’ll find a private path to the Cabana just past the carport. Go through the gate and follow the path down the incline to the private waterfront area.Other things to noteOutside you’ll find the waterfront, the kayaks, the fire bowl and the dock. The hot tub is just out your door. Enjoy a late night tub. There is an outdoor fireplace, outdoor BBQ and kitchen complete with fridge, sink and ice maker. The fire bowl wis perfect for smores or just conversation. Lake Tapps is a reservoir and is regulated by a PUD. From November to March they draw the water down 3 feet. This means during this season you will walk out a few feet to get to the water, should you desire to kayak. We have life jackets on the south side of the Cabana. Use these for Kayaking or floating around. During warmer months it’s perfect here for sunbathing, swimming and boating. Ask about renting our wakeboard boat if you desire to play or cruise. Driving to Mt. Rainier? We are just about 1 hour from the Crystal mountain ski resort turn off and just 75 minutes from the Sunrise entrance to the National Park. The fire pit can sometimes be low on wood so we suggest grabbing a few bundles from the local store in Elbe.Located only 20 minutes from Mt. Ranier National Park, there are plenty of hiking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, sightseeing and exploring all around.Whittaker Mountaineering is also just up the road and has ski and snowshoe rentals!Less then a mile away, Alder lake has public access to swimming, fishing and a boat launch!Our property has plenty of room if towing a boat or have an additional vehicle.We also have additional options for RV hookups. For those who want to go outdoors, Wit's End Retreat is located about 11 minutes from the Nisqually entrance of Mount Rainier National Park (this entrance is open year round). We are less than 10 minutes from Alder Lake and only about a half a mile to 92 Road where you can take your off-road vehicles to the Elbe Hills trails. There is also a trail close to the cabin that you can follow down to the Nisqually River. If skiing or snowboarding is your thing, we are located about an hour and a half away from White Pass Ski Resort. The road in front of the cabin makes a great sledding hill when there is snow!Follow the babbling sound of the seasonal creek to the deck in the front of the cabin. Relax in the new, covered hot tub and let the jets massage away your aches and pains. Please read hot tub rules before using. Unbreakable cups with lids are provided in the kitchen. A gas fire table and chairs are located next to the hot tub for outdoor dining as well as a Weber gas grill for outdoor cooking. Enjoy a cozy fire with friends and family. A fire pit, outdoor chairs, and a small amount of firewood is provided for your use when there is not a burn ban. If additional fire wood is needed, there are places nearby it can be purchased. Firewood will not be provided during a burn ban. Wit's End Retreat was recently remodeled and offers a fully stocked kitchen with a full size range, refrigerator, dishwasher, and peninsula for eating. In the kitchen you will also find a coffee bar stocked with a Keurig, french press, coffee, tea, cider, and hot cocoa. The kitchen contains pots, pans, utensils, basic spices, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar for all your cooking needs. Just bring the food! There is even a bluetooth speaker if you need some music around the cabin. Cozy up by the pellet stove and watch TV, play board games, or read. The Smart TV offers apps such as Netflix or Prime Video that you can log into. The full bathroom is located downstairs and contains a large, walk in shower as well as washer and dryer if you need to do any laundry. The vanity contains a first aid kit and a basket of some essentials if there is something you forgot to bring. Upstairs you will find a cozy queen bed, dresser, and small pole for hanging clothes on one side. The other side contains a twin daybed with a trundle bed underneath that pulls out for a 2nd twin bed. Additional blankets are located in the blanket chest and baskets. There is also a 2nd Smart TV as well as board games, books, puzzles, legos, and coloring materials for children. Please note there are no doors between the sleeping areas.The cabin has a wall unit heat pump for heating and cooling, as well as an optional pellet stove. The temperature on the pellet stove can be controlled via the built in thermostat on the stove if you need to adjust it up or down. Please read the instructions provided in our book. It's possible you may need to refill the pellets if you choose to use it. Additional pellets are located in the can next to the pellet stove. Guests choosing to keep their reservation will be charged the full booking amount.The hot tub chemicals are balanced twice a week. The tech is onsite for approximately 15 minutes.
