Right on the lake- for four seasons of fun, with excellent snowshoeing, fishing & swimming just out your door! The Lake is yours! Fishing, boating, swimming, floating all right out your door. Bring your swimsuits and fun floatation rafts. Swimming off dock is clear and weed free - you can also explore and find great swimming areas throughout the Balsam Lake chain. The cabin rental comes with access to a row boat and small pontoon paddle boat (non motorized). You can also rent a boat at the Sunnyside Marina (715-485-3393) or bring your own, the Balsam Lake Beach public boat launch is located in close proximity to the cabin. As the name suggests, common loons abound here in the summer! Wildlife watching, birding and photography are always good options so bring your binoculars and hiking sticks. Explore Balsam Lake or take a day trip, the cabin is close to both WI and MN state parks (Interstate Park in Taylors Falls MN and Crex Meadows near Grantsburg WI are two great places to explore). Wild Mountain is also a quick 20 minute drive away, with fun for the whole family. Our cabin features a large deck overlooking the lake, and is only 30 feet from the shore. The shoreline is gravel and is shallow for the first 25ft making it a great place to play in the water. The cabin has 3 bedrooms (2 queen beds, 1 twin bed), kitchen, and living room (pull out couch) which walks out onto the 200+ sq ft deck. The cabin is a cozy 800 sq ft but can host a surprising number of people for its size. We love this cabin for water skiing and playing on the lake. Its located on one of the calmest areas on the lake and we water ski and play right in front of the cabin. Bone lake is a great fishing lake, and you can catch plenty of pan fish off the dock. Our neighbors are quiet and family oriented. We expect our guests to be the same and respect our great neighbors. We are not interested in renting to anyone looking to party or be loud at night. A 1500lb water mat and kayak are available to use. Room on the dock for you to bring a boat. Bone Lake is a 1667 acre lake. It is a 4.8 mile boat ride from one end of the lake to the other. It has a maximum depth of 43 feet. Fish include Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass and Northern Pike.We have yearly inspections and are a licensed rental property with Polk County, Wisconsin. There is a public boat launch, however the lake is not for swimming or fishing. The SpaceWith 2,494 sq ft of finished cabin, your group will have plenty of space to spread out. The lodge has 4 bedrooms (1 windowless) and 2.5 bathrooms with in-floor heating on the main level, a beautifully updated kitchen including stainless steel appliances, and a large stone wood-burning fireplace at the center of the cabin. Firewood can be purchased at any nearby gas station.The top floor includes the master, with breathtaking views out your walk-out balcony of Lotus Lake, and a large updated private bathroom. Also upstairs is a loft with extra sleeping space for the kids. The main level showcases the gorgeous white cedar logs, with the large stone wood-burning fireplace at its center. The kitchen was recently updated including modern stainless steel appliances, and all the cooking amenities you need for a comfortable stay. Off the main level is a grand deck you can grill on while enjoying your view looking out over Lotus Lake, and stairs taking you down to the firepit. Don't overlook the expansive front porch, it is a perfect spot for morning coffee and conversation. Downstairs you'll find a family room with PS4 set-up for the kids with movies or games after a long day skiing at Trollhaugen or canoeing down the St. Croix River. SMOKING: No vaping, smoking, or recreational drugs allowed in any buildings. Please use the metal can or you can dispose of cigarettes in the firepit. PETS: Pets are allowed with a pet fee. Please inquire at time of booking to receive an accurate rate. All pets/animals are not allowed on the beds, furniture or any linens and are to be kept in a kennel provided when you are not at the lake home with them. We do take extra hours to clean after pets have stayed so that we can ensure those whom have allergies have a comfortable stay. Fire-pit: The outside firepit is available for use and enjoyment with wood provided. Please put the fire out when unattended or by midnight (whichever comes first).
