Domus Fresco

Excellent hotel! We booked the open plan suite and were not disappointed, a great view with lots of room and a small balcony looking out onto the Venetian harbour. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A place we will return and stay again. Everything is walking distance, great places to eat and the city is very, very clean, no litter at all anywhere!

This was one of the best family rooms I have ever stayed in. We booked six nights in April. The Family Suite, has a large room in front with a king comfortable fluffy bed, a bathroom with a nice walk in shower and a long bar/table that we ate at often. Through a door in back is an entire second room with a Queen bed, large as well and an even larger second bathroom. The front room has a balcony on the beautiful Venetian harbor that seats two people. This room is huge and perfect for families. To check in we had to walk to the sister property which is super close, just down the harbor, then the people from the restaurant below the room (Lithos) helped us carry our bags up and gave us a bottle of champagne. They were very helpful when we had a light out as well. The restaurant was pretty good as well. They may mention a discounted breakfast, but it was just getting the Cretan Breakfast (which we liked) at Lithos for 10 euro instead of 14 euro, so not much diff. We had a car and because this is in the old town, there are generally no cars allowed for a several block area so we had to park in a garage. There are free lots but we never saw open spots in April so I wouldn't even try in the summer. The stress is that the parking garage was a very tight fit for our mid size car. Halfway through the trip we found a second garage that was Valet so we didn't have to park the car and that was great (name was Apollon). There is just no place to stay with this kind of view and proximity to the harbor where you could park at the hotel, its a trade off. Also, I should mention that because there is no traffic for a few blocks around the harbor, its very safe for your kids/teens to walk around. They especially loved the 24 hour pizza by the slice place.

A fantastic apartment with daily servicing. The place is situated in the heart of the old town Venetian harbour. The staff were all very helpful and apartment was a great size, clean and well decorated. I would recommend people to stay here and would do so again.

The Chania inn is located right on the Old Harbor with views to die for from your own terrace. It is on the second floor right above Lythos restaurant so you check in the reception inside this restaurant. The receptionist will show the room, give instructions how to turn on the air conditioner and etc. You officially register in their sister hotel, Domus Renier hotel which is in the same street. The staff there gives you a map of Chania and information of all the sightseeing places. If you wanted, they can arrange a tour or transport for your sightseeing if you don't have a car. We thoughly enjoyed this service. Our room was called the White Room which is for 2 people. It was a beautiful room and very spacious with our own balcony. The bed was so comfortable and felt like king-sized. Despite right on the harbor, it was very quiet with the balcony windows closed. The location was so central and the restaurant staff of Lythos treated us like a family. Such a lovely experience.

100% recommend this hotel! It’s in the heart of Old Town with a picturesque view of the lighthouse and panoramic view of the harbor. It’s an apartment/loft above a restaurant. I wasn’t aware so it took a minute to find it. The room was huge with a boutique, artistic cool decor. “Industrial suite”. Location was amazing. Service was outstanding. Room was high-end luxury. It was my favorite hotel of the trip!

Huge ‘trendy’ room, beautifully decorated and well equipped with fridge and coffee machine. The bed was extremely comfortable and all the amenities modern and stylish. The balcony allows amazing views over the harbour and it’s delightful to sit here watching the world go by. It does mean you are sleeping above a number of late night parties. Fortunately the double glazing means you only get to hear the air conditioning once the doors are shut. The room was cleaned every day and the staff at the restaurant below couldn’t be more charming and helpful.
