My mom and I visited Charleston, SC for a girls trip and enjoyed our stay at the Jonathan Jasper Wright Inn. The listing on VRBO was accurate and it was impeccably clean. We stayed in the room on the first floor, which was small but enough room for the two of us. The bed was VERY comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was great, and although the bathroom lacks counter space, we were able to utilize the shelf above the toilet for our toiletries and found it sufficient. We walked to and from downtown Charleston multiple times. It was about a 15 minute walk. We also took Ubers to and from Downtown and to and from the airport and they were all reasonably priced. The only time we had any regrets about not staying right downtown was when an unexpected downpour hit for a few hours. The prices of uber went up from about $5 one way, to $30, so instead of heading back to the room we holed up in a coffee shop at a hotel. We had food delivered multiple times, and D'Allesandro's Pizza is just a couple blocks away. They deliver but it's also very walkable and SO GOOD. The inn is also a block and a half away from Sightsee coffee shop which was delicious and adorable. The only suggestions I have for the proprietor of the room, is to maybe include a roll of paper towel and a small bottle of dish soap to wash the dishes after each use. Overall, we greatly enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, we felt safe, and the room was well appointed. I would recommend this inn to anyone who wants somewhere affordable and comfortable to stay without being right downtown Charleston.
