This is a review of the Mount Pleasant SC Springhill Suits. Staying in many Marriott’s each year, this was by far, the worst experience I have had. First room, 407, had terrible stains on the couch. They moved us to 405. Same issue, terrible stains on the couch. After complaining the second time I would have thought I would have been offered another room, maybe one with a different house keeper. He did not offer me anything besides an eye roll like he wasn’t surprised but was annoyed at the issue happening. My family refused to sit on the couch and we felt uncomfy the whole trip. I complained again on day 2 that the couch was still dirty after housekeeping came in. To make matters worse, We returned from day 3 out on the town to find that housekeeping LEFT OUR ROOM OPEN for any one to walk in. When you let the door close on its own, it doesn’t latch. It has to be pulled closed. We knew this. How did the staff not. AND the couch still wasn’t cleaned. When I complained to the desk about the door issue the desk associate did offer sincere apologies and said she would leave a not for the mgr to call me. I did receive two calls from a manager but with my trips schedule I was unable to answer the phone. When I called back later in the day, ‘that mgr was gone’. The MOD sign was always the picture of the same GM who never seemed to be there when I was at the desk. They clearly just never changed the sign. And I have to say, as petty as this may be, one of those nights I complained i had grabbed a water from the market, I was expecting them to charge me for it but after receiving the invoice upon check out…it hit me…the least could have done was take the fricken water off my bill… I won’t ever stay here again.
