This is a hotel American Airline sent me when they screwed up my flight. I called the number I was told to call when I arrived in CLT. They knew nothing of my reservation. I called back and a less than friendly voice told me to go to arrivals door 1. I waited 35 minutes for the shuttle. There were more passengers in the same situation as I, than the shuttle could hold (by far). When we got to the hotel there were only 2 folks available to check a long line of us in. The restaurant only had 1 person to take orders. The room lacked the normal things I expect at a Marriott. No lotion, no toothpaste, no sort of toiletries. The walls were very thin. The elevator was broken. There was absolutely no compassion, friendliness or interest in the guests. I had to catch the 4am shuttle back to the airport. Hideous music was blaring in the hotel lobby and the airport shuttle. I couldn’t even get a cup of coffee (if you don’t count the instant stuff in the room). The restaurant has no service before the 4am bus. This hotel does not deserve the Marriott label and American Airlines has deteriorated to the point it is no longer recognizable as the airline it once was.
