Upon arrival, you are greeted by the Valet. They are very friendly. The hotel was clean. The problems: It lacked an elegant/inviting smell that fresh flowers/plants bring or even a spray, anything to take away the stale city air smell. The checkin process took longer than I thought it should. We were assigned a room that smelled moldy/"weed", shower did not work well. We switched rooms to a new room the next morning. The new room had a few issues: the toilet would not flush properly, all the drains were slow to drain. Maintenance did come to fix 2 of the problems, the 3rd was going to need more time which I felt could be done after we left. The billing system needs to be updated; we preordered hotel credit and parking but when we got the bill it was incorrect. I had to talk to the front desk to get it fixed. He was nice about it- but it was my vacation time wasted as I had already spent time doing it. Seeing your bill online and checking the emails is inconvenient. Why not be able to access it on the TV. The hotel was quick to respond on towel request and bringing food orders. The pool is refreshing! (not heated) it was a great way to cool down. The pool area is nice with games, clean, and plenty of towels. The work out facility looked great! The location is good for restaurants. The breakfast spots are delicious. One sidewalk around the hotel is flithy, smelly and have many people milling about. It did not feel safe to walk alone. The city itself has trash everywhere.
