This hotel is relatively mediocre and does not live up to the usual Novotel standards. The hotel seems to cut corners, likely to increase profitability, but it shows. The room is dark and unwelcoming. The toilet seat is poorly fixed, and there was a dead fly on the carpet. The pool water does not meet safety standards. The chlorine level during the last check (Summer 2024) was 5.25 mg of dichlorine per liter of water: above the French standard of 5 mg/L, which is already pretty lax compared to the US, where regulations set the standard at 4 mg/L. This high chlorine level is not good for the eyes (or the skin, for that matter). It appears the hotel is saving money by renewing the water less frequently and overusing chlorine – yet another corner cut. Restaurant: The dining experience was disappointing. The supposedly fresh fruit salad was clearly not homemade. The tart crust was obviously industrial and lacked the freshness expected from a high-end establishment. Additionally, many dishes seemed to be reheated rather than freshly prepared, contributing to a generally subpar dining experience. There is little that goes well at this hotel. It's pointless to choose a supposedly high-end hotel with such poor services. You might as well opt for a mid-range (or even budget) hotel, where you would at least expect fewer services at a lower price.
