Ibis Budget Chateaudun

Automated checking machines are a good idea but not if they do not work to accept your reservation or to try and book rooms for the same evening. Situated in a very hot and sunny lobby further added to a poor first impression and one had to wait until reception was open again at 5pm to resolve the issues only to be told the automated checkin booth often does not work! Breakfast the next morning was utter chaos with insufficient glasses and crockery; the saving grace was the food and drink was good when one could enjoy it! More like a camping experience using 3 espresso cups for a white coffee was interesting and good job one was not in a hurry.

A remarkable reception. I arrived clearly in some distress, 5 hours early for check-in after a 12 hour drive and a cross-channel ferry feeling unwell and very tired. The receptionist checked the readiness of my room and arranged for me to occupy. Brought me coffee. Left me to sleep. An incredible act of kindness and care. The ‘accessible’ room was well appointed with a lovely walk-in/wheelchair shower. Exceptionally clean. Comfortable bed. Plenty of space. Near to reception and the cafe. I could not have hoped for more. Thank

This is a very basic hotel, the rooms are small, with little amenities, ie no wardrobe or storage for clothes.. the double bed has a bunk bed above it which I bangled my head on. The room has no air con, The window in our room was above the entrance door where people congregated to smoke and chatter ..the smoke drifted into our room. The bathroom was ok, but the shower was small.. Towels were ok and changed daily. The hotel has a very dated and used feel about it, there was a musty smoky smell in the public areas.. Staff were helpful and friendly. This hotel is ok if you just want to put your head down and move on the next morning, but not for longer.. we had three nights booked and paid for and wished we could have left after the first night. Wont ever use an Ibis budget hotel again .

I've been at this hotel staying the night of the 5th of August. It was a night to forget. Imagine the terrible surprise when we arrived around midnight and we discovered that we haven't the room booked and confirmed. We booked a family room for 2 adults and 2 kids but we have to get two double rooms not communicated. It was a great inconvenience because our kids are small and directly, we have paid for something different. Can't described how old and ugly the rooms were. We were completely defenseless, we couldn't do anything at that moment. The girl at the desk told us that she couldn't do anything. And that is. You book and pay one thing and they give you whatever it is better for them without any compensation. Never stay there if you have another chance. Any other hotel should be better!!!

Une catastrophe sans nom cet hôtel devrait être fermé impossibilité d'entrer dans l'hôtel le code ne fonctionne pas la directrice est désagréable au possible franchement jamais vu ça depuis que je vais dans les hôtels ibis.

Lavabo cassé, serviettes elimées Wc entartrés, éclairage défaillant dans la chambre. Pas de clim. Heureusement que l hôtesse était agréable
