I admit, after booking this hotel based on the website and pictures, I was dreading the arrival after reading the Trip Advisor reviews. I travelled with 5 of my immediate family, 6 in total including 2 children. We had a 3 bed apartment. The first thing I would say is make sure your transfer drops you at the correct place. We had a late arrival and out transfer driver dropped us at the entrance at 11pm. Unbeknownst to us, that was actually the Ermitage Hotel and as it was so late we couldn't get in, reception was closed and a bit of a panic arose. After a lucky encounter with some guests, we realised the Grand Lodge was down the hilll, behind the Ermitage. Good parts. Our apartment was well sized, well equipped and clean. We has a basement apartment with a view into the valley. The kitchenette was well equipped with everything you'd need to feed a family of 6. The pool and sauna were nice after a day's ski and although it did get busy, it was never what I would call overcrowded. Lodge located next to a great little sledging area for the kids. Not so good parts . Basic lockers provided for gear but no hooks or hangers meant everything had to be crammed on the floor and stayed wet. The locker room was also very tight so best avoided at busy times. Lodges are at the bottom of a steep slope so not so great to trudge up and down when wearing ski boots Things to be aware of. Linen is provided for you to dress the beds yourself Towels are not included There is a deposit required for the room You can choose to pay for a cleaner or do this yourself. Conclusion For the money, I thought this place was great. Make sure to read the fine print to know what to expect and there are no surprises. It is a little way out of the village, but again the bus service is there for free. We found it perfectly fine for our stay.
