St Francis Cottage

Wallace and Nancy take their hospitality seriously. They have thought of everything! If you’re considering staying in the area, book this B&B!!! We missed the posh and delicious breakfasts and service the moment we left. Let’s review just one breakfast service. We had placemats and cloth napkins adorning the table along with an enormous bowl of fresh fruit salad: strawberries, bananas, grapes, watermelon, etc. This was to be added to a make your own parfait: strawberry yogurt with crunchy granola to create your own. So refreshing. And each morning we were given the choice of crangrape or orange juice to accompany the table’s coffee pot. Our main course was a farmer’s frittata (like a crustless quiche) that was beyond filling. It was probably two inches thick with eggs, a sprinkling of veggies, and topped with a layer of melted cheese. The garlicky mini rolls were delicious. We got used to Wallace asking: who’s ready for dessert? After we already ate two courses. Dessert on our second morning was a warm brownie. The brownie was scrumptious and melted in our mouths with the richness of fudge! And the whipped cream was so good… There is a mini fridge with plenty of Coke products to help yourself. Snacks and homemade cookies were always available. And, after a long day, Wallace and Nancy always set out a collection of beers and wines to choose from. We felt spoiled from the beginning to the end of our stay! We knew they’d work with any requests. Very well taken care of! Also, it was private and quiet there. Just stay there!

I Our visit was delightful. The public space that included the gracious dining area was comforting. Wallace and Nancy anticipate their guests every need. Our rooms were truly private sanctuaries. Owning a restaurant for 50 years unintentionally influences our experiences. Creative dishes, tastefully prepared and presented were big hits. A return visit is in the plans. June and Cameron Carr

PERFECT!!! No other way to describe it! This was my 3rd stay. I was "hooked" after my 1st stay and have wanted to share this wonderful place and it's fantastic owners with everyone I know! I even brought along 9 friends with me this time and every one of them loved it! Especially the WONDERFUL 3 course breakfasts. This was by far our number one favorite place for our annual retreat! Wallace and Nancy (the owners and hosts) are the most precious and courteous people. They open their hearts and their cottage up to you and treat you like honored guests, while making you feel like you are "at home". If you ever get the chance, give St. Francis Cottage a try, you will NOT regret it!

Superb B&B. Conveniently located for everything we wanted to do in Chattanooga. Beautiful facility, inside and out. The room was excellent, large and comfortable. Breakfasts were absolutely wonderful. Wallace and Nancy are great hosts!

Amazing stay. Top notch accommodation and amazing breakfast. My wife is a picky eater, but she absolutely loved breakfast all 3 mornings of our visit. I highly recommend staying at the St. Francis Cottage. I’m hoping we can come back again soon.

Wallace and Nancy are the absolute best!!, they have thought of every detail for their guests, it was an absolute joy to stay at St. Francis, we loved it!! If you’re in Chattanooga please visit their place, it is fabulous. Great breakfast!!!

This was an overnight stay for us on our way to the great Smoky Mountains. We stayed in the spacious Cardinal Room. It was very comfortable with a sitting area, en suite bath and cozy bed. Breakfast was delicious and was served in the pretty dining room by our hosts Wallace and Nancy. Fresh baked cookies and wine in the evening were most welcome!

Nancy and Wallace were so welcoming during our two night stay with them! They treated us like family. Their home and grounds are peaceful. Their attention to detail is by far the best we’ve experienced; they thought of everything to make our visit delightful and worry free. The room was clean and beautifully decorated, breakfast was very filling and delicious…no room for lunch and barely ate dinner. The location was good, too; it’s about 25 minutes from downtown where we walked around, went to the Cokers’s Car Museum and ate Clumpie’s ice cream. We enjoyed the cavern tour at Raccoon Falls. We could go on and on. We will surely be back. Thank you Nancy and Wallace!
