Consigliato come punto di riferimento per chi e’ di passaggio . La titolare mooolto disponibile nel dare suggerimenti per spostamenti ecc. Buona posizione (vicina agli imbarchi) e intorno ci sono diverse attività dove acquistare cibo a buon prezzo. Consiglio la bottega a fianco all’ingresso dove puoi comprare là loro originale caffetteria.

There is a great write up in the recent Lonely Planet Guide about Murray Guesthouse being a wonderful addition to the Chau Doc accommodation options... a great guest lounge, roof terrace, bar, pool table and great breakfast. Sadly no longer... none of these exists! Instead we had a poor welcome, accusing us of having cancelled, the bedside lights didn't work, our friend had no toilet paper or a toilet that flushed. It is very cheap to stay there and it is clean, but that is it.

I stayed two nights in a deluxe room. It was cleaned before I moved in so it was very clean. The room was large but beside the bed and a small shelf the room was empty. It had the look and feel of a used to bee great place but something must had happened.

We booked a room. When we arrived a man at reception took our money for one night. There were no lights on in the reception area. He showed us to the room. The bed linen didn’t look crisp white. The bathroom didn’t have any toilet paper. A half used roll was found near the bed. A used cake of soap was in the shower area. The fridge wasn’t turned on. There was no tea, coffee or sugar. There was no water. There was no kettle. It was disgraceful! After a protracted conversation we were able to get our money back. We do not recommend this property.

We booked and paid in advance, but when we arrived, they were not expecting us. They received us as if we were a nuisance. They finally found our reservation, but for one night instead of two nights (we had paid for two nights), they wanted to make us pay for the second night. They barely spoke English. They finally gave us a room that smelled really bad and had stains of insects of the sheets. We found another hotel for the second night and couldn’t get a refound from *******.

Front desk guy was rude and unwelcoming. AC does not work well at all, no cold water, cockroach in room. However, no plastic bottles so that’s a good change.
