Great location, just behind the castle, looks and feels cosy. Our bedroom was a bit small, but very comfortable, with a good matrass that provided good sleep quality. The "annoying" thing was that during the night there was a sensor who would emit some light. Good breakfast room and wide choices, including local treats like mini "pastel de Chaves" and "folar de Chaves" Thoroughly enjoyed our stay

As the name implies the hotel is right by the castle and within easy walking distance of the sights and the Roman bridge. Parking is available immediately under the hotel with a lift. Our bedroom 105 was large, comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was good. All the staff were welcoming and helpful. Very good value at €85 b&b.

Just exceptional. The room was comfy, the spa wonderful, breakfast buffet excellent. The whole place was spotless but what made it for us was the staff... friendly and professional. Nothing was too much bother. We wouldn't hesitate to return.

Reception very slow. Rooms far too small for a 4 star hotel. On the positive side the people are very nice and apologetic. All this was noticed during the first half hour since our arrival. Knowing that first impressions are the most important ….

Nice modern building. The reception stuff sometimes either didn't know English or was a bit confused. a/c controlled from office, so very difficult to get temperature right. Good location. nice and clean, Just OK breakfast, no tissues in the room.

The location, the room, the breakfast, the staff, the shower, the decor - perfect! We felt very happy to have found this hotel in Chaves and would stay here again if we found ourselves in Chaves on another vacation Portugal. We highly recommend this hotel

Não sendo a primeira vez que fico hospedado neste hotel, não tive dúvidas em escolher para passar o meu aniversário de casamento no Castelo hotel Chaves. Hotel muito bem localizado, limpo, bom pequeno almoço e excelentes funcionários. Hotel muito agradável para quem queira conhecer a cidade de Chaves e arredores.

Un hotel muy cómodo y bien situado. Los empleados muy amables. El desayuno rico. Las habitaciones muy bien con un baño amplio. En resumen hotel comodo, buen trato, y un placer haber pasado ahí un par de noches en nuestra visita a Chaves. Recomendable y volveré en mi próxima visita.
