Riad Nila

The website reads: « Riad Nila provides a restaurant, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar. Every room is fitted with a patio with views of the mountain. At the riad each room is equipped with air conditioning, a wardrobe, a terrace with a city view, a private bathroom, a flat-screen TV, bed linen and towels. «  No room has a patio or a terrace with a city view! The bar is twenty minutes from the Riad. When we pointed this out upon checkin, we were given a room on the terrace patio level, which we shortly learned was reserved for others. When the others protested the situation, the evening attendant accused us of creating problems for them. We did not ask for the room, the young woman who checked us in called herself resolving the issue of the false advertising by giving us a room reserved for others. The issued was not resolved to anyone’s satisfaction and the attendant continued to rudely interact with us as if we were to blame. The website pictures are clearly from the time of remodeling cleverly leveraging wide angle lenses and do not represent current conditions. Needless to say, I do not advise staying at this property, despite the low rate. Truly a case of getting what you pay for.

Great service! The team is amazing the hotel is beautiful and I would recommend to anyone going! The service at this hotel is absolutely exceptional! The staff is attentive, friendly, and goes above and beyond to ensure a wonderful stay. The hotel itself is stunning, with beautiful decor and fantastic amenities. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. You won’t be disappointed!

Very bad experience . The room we booked through an agency was double booked and after giving us the room they asked us to leave it for another room in order to give the room to the other couple . The person at the reception was very rude All our hotels experiences weee wonderful except for this one

Spent a night at Riad Nila, my agency helped me book this place, looking online the rate is ~USD150/night for the room I stayed in. A staff from the riad will come to where cars can stop to help with luggages and show guests to the riad. The location is convenient, only a few mins walk to the main square, the alleyways around the riad is not particularly nice though, there was cat poo and stank of cat pee. Stairs to the rooms are narrow and steep. The room and bathroom are decent size. Everything feel a bit tired and cleanliness can be better. One thing in the bathroom that I noticed which is a little disturbing, there’s a small window facing the opposite building which is quite close, when I was using the toilet I was not sure whether people in the opposite building can see inside the bathroom, I don’t think the window is one way glass, the riad should add privacy film to the window to give guests peace of mind. Got really thirsty before I went to bed and I had finished my own water, bottled water was no provided in the room so I had to get changed and head downstairs. Asked the nighttime staff whether there is somewhere I can buy a bottle of water. He was kind enough to get one from the kitchen, appreciate this, but the riad should really provide this in the room. Breakfast is average. The reception and breakfast areas on the ground floor are lovely but the terrace seems to be very neglected. Staff are friendly and efficient.

Great service where staff helped with the luggage up and down the riad. Cosy atmosphere at the dining area where good breakfast was served by friendly staff. Kudos to the efforts put in to ensure room is clean and neat. Nice to see extension being built with new facilities.
