WorldMark Lake Chelan Shores

I booked two nights at this property for Memorial Day back last year using their official travel partner, Extra Holidays via Wyndham. I received a cancellation today, 4 months after I made the original reservation, claiming that there was a "technical glitch within a third-party system." No compensation was offered, only a refund. I've already made plans to travel to Chelan. Meanwhile, prices in Chelan have skyrocketed and availability has dwindled since I booked four months ago . Now that I tried searching online, it looks like Wyndham/Extra Holidays is notorious for cancelling timeshare bookings.

Our room was very close to a very busy road. It was too noisy to sit out on the deck and enjoy the view.

Loved being here. Wonderful accommodations. The view from our two bedroom suite spectacular. Couldn't ask for a better vacation.

Unit 2-2 Starting with the good--Great location. Cute place. The bad--Plan on getting up early every day. The primary bedroom faces East and with no blackout blinds, the sun is your wake-up call. The day before I arrived, I was contacted by the property management office and told new blinds were being installed. When I arrived, there were blinds piled in the corner that my husband had to install. On top of that the blinds were not installed correctly and did not cover the entire window facing the lake. This meant anyone walking along the main path could see right into our unit. Our first day, after unpacking and stocking the fridge we left for several hours, upon return, I went to the sliding glass door to ensure it was locked (something I always do before bed) it was unlocked. We hadn't ben out to the patio yet, so this means the door had been unlocked before we arrived and remained unlocked without our knowledge. We then went to get a drink from the refrigerator (which had been stocked many hours earlier) we noticed all of our drinks were warm. Like, WARM. The refrigerator was set at ~50°, which is well below what is food-safe. At this point, we were angry and worried because we'd stocked the whole fridge, including, $150 on steaks that could now be at risk for spoilage. For the price they're charging for this unit the minor technical upgrades made do not make up for the health and safety concerns. When I reported this to the local office, one young lady called and said they'd fix the blinds (and they did) but couldn't say much else. When I asked for the Manager to call me he never did. They clearly don't care about visitor safety and satisfaction. EXTREMELY disappointed.

Amazing views of the lake and mountains. The room was nice and had some cookware but you should probably bring your own bowls and basics just to make sure. Lots of winery's and during the summer activities on the water. Some hiking but in the heat of summer probably not a good time. Very little crowds off season and middle of the week but during peak times it will be very crowded and single lane roads will make getting around difficult and time consuming. Overall, we had an excellent time just relaxing.

Awesome views of Lake Chelan and the mountain but lacks resort activities especially during winter time. This would be a great place to stay during late spring to early fall. It's a quick 5-7 min drive to the town.
