I stayed here in March, I previously reviewed this place but I believe it's had a refresh, it's made no difference. I stayed in a Plus room which wasn't cheap even with no breakfast. In short it's really not great. The auto check in machines don't work so there was sizeable queue at check in. The room is not clean, it clearly isn't cleaned properly and was looking tatty. There is dust and I guess human skin under the bed and down the side of the fridge was disgusting. There were stains on the carpet and mould in the bathroom. Repairs had been bodged and the door stop was hanging off. I emailed a complaint, got an automatic reply stating I would hear within 5 days .....and of course heard nothing. Tells you all you need to know about their attitude to customers.

The room was immaculate and the chef, Liz made me my first ever poached egg and it was delicious. Brilliant breakfast, service and stay! Fantastic energy from her and the whole team. All very helpful and friendly and a big thank you! Will be back soon!

A really nice stay, The staff were so lovely and very helpful - Karis, Joanna. Food was great plant burger was so nice - care of Raymond. Would definitely recommend this hotel and restaurant. From check in to advice on where to go it was lovely.

Lovely stay rooms are very clean and hotel in all was brilliant. Very welcoming when you first come in always greater with a smile, enjoyed the cocktails will happily stay again. Thank you too Giulio & Paulina they were brilliant they were very helpful overall!

I stayed here last week as I was meeting a friend for dinner. I was warmly greeted by a male receptionist who's name I cannot remember who had gone out of his way to make sure the room I was in suited my mobility needs. He also patiently answered all the questions I was firing at him and I am extremely grateful to him. The room I was in took a long long time to heat up so I was very grateful for the warm bed which was extremely comfortable and I had an excellent night sleep. I was shocked that the television only showed 5 channels so I was unable to catch up on my usual viewings 😢. This building I would say is tired and dated. In my room there was a hole in the wall where it looked like someone had punched it. There were paint and scuff marks on the walls which looked like it had been there a long time. Breakfast for me was mediocre. You really need more staff. For instance I was unable to lift the jug of milk to pour over my cereal and there was nobody around so I had to ask another guest to help me on a couple of occasions. The thing that really upset me was a woman who at first was smiling but when I gave her a pain au chocolate and asked her to heat it up for me her smile vanished as if she really didn't want to do it. On that experience alone if I was staying again I would probably try to eat breakfast elsewhere. It is only because of the receptionist that I would stay again.
