Chelmsford (Springfield)

Terrible experience, booked a double and was allocated two singles then had the hassle of changing rooms. We then had two single bed push together and not the premier inn bed you expect and is advertised in the room! Room was INCREDIBLY hot (mid 30s), one fan was provided and did very little, we barely slept. Reception aircon was freezing so weird priority. There were some mites or fleas in the room, I woke up covered in bites and could see mites moving on my phone screen when I picked up my phone from the bed - yuck. There was no one at reception when we checked out to speak to. Overall a fairly horrific experience.

3rd time we have used Premier Inn Springfield. Its very convenient for visiting RHS Hyde Hall being only 9 miles away. Comfortable Rooms and a handy Restaurant on sight ... The Meal Deal great value "all you can eat breakfast and the Evening Meal ... 2 courses plus a drink" Very friendly staff helps too.

The bathroom was terrible. The bath was old with chips and stains all over. The tiles were stained and chipped and discoloured. The sliding door was barely functional, unpainted wood with paint marks in various places. The tap would spray water up towards you if not careful. One of the worst I've seen.

Absolutely appalling treatment at Chelmsford Springfields with our autistic son. They need to read up on the Equality Act 2010, reasonable adjustments and also the Children’s and Family Act 2014. No breakfast for us, no accommodations made. All we wanted was an extra chair at a table in a quieter location. Basically been kicked out just for trying to explain that I’d had this conversion with the reception team on check in. Both me and my son who were wearing sunflower lanyards, have left in tears. Thank you Premier Inn I’m sure if my son was in a wheelchair, accommodations would have been made. Disability discrimination at its finest.

We had a comfortable and enjoyable stay which was made special by Rosie a member of staff who was professional, delightful and knew how to make us feel welcome and valued. We have met her on two recent visits and on both occasions she has enhanced our stay.

Dear Premier Inn Team, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my concern regarding my recent stay at Chelmsford Springfield , specifically in Room 10. Unfortunately, my experience was impacted by persistent noise from the room above, which made it difficult to relax and sleep. Additionally, there were noticeable creaky sounds coming from the room above and the pipes throughout the night, which further disrupted my comfort. Given that I was hoping for a peaceful stay, these disturbances were quite disappointing. I have spoken to the person in reception at the time who apologised and logged the complaint and asked me to leave a review. On a positive note the staff at breakfast were very attentive and overall were great. I would appreciate it if you could look into this matter and consider providing a resolution, whether it’s offering an alternative room or any other form of compensation.
