Citrus Hotel Cheltenham by Compass Hospitality recensioner

Had an unexpected short night stay in Cheltenham and needed somewhere to stay so chose here and was really decent for a nights stay bed was comfy toilet was small but decent and close by to city centre was pleasant for a nights stay bed:)

Cheap and cheerful. Very friendly staff. Room felt damp. Good location. Additional £10 for parking seems excessive.

Decent. Had everything you need if just using for one night. Beds comfy. Bath and shower in our room. Tea and coffee tray nice All the facilities work, just don't expect luxury for the price you pay.

Front desk reception is friendly and willing to help. Great location in the city center. Wifi has to be improved cannot connect if stay on the 4th floor.

Basic accommodation. Relatively clean but bed was a bit smelly Meant to be a double bed but was a two singles pushed together Bit noisy at night time but can’t be helped Good enough if on a tight budget

Good location, easy to find and not too far from Tran station. clean and comfy bed.

Decent budget place for a short stay. However if you are looking for something really nice or a longer stay with sparkle then I wouldn’t recommend it. Overall it was good for a quick one night stay and the basic things were available.

Nice room and good location. Though, I saw clean bedding linen outside of each room in the morning as I was leaving for breakfast. Not pleased to see it!

This hotel needs a good scrub, the floor in particular was very dirty, the retro carpet was not hiding the stains and dirt that needed to be vacuumed. I’m sure they are trying there best but also not having a lift that works and sending customers upto the top levels probably isn’t a great thing either. Would only stay here again if in a desperate need.

The biggest room we ever stayed in. It's a size of a studio apartment. One queen size bed and one double bunkers bed. The toilet is also huge for a hotel room. There's a flat TV set a sofa set. The room is also equipped with a small kitchen, sinky and a small fridge. Plates, glasses and cutlery are provided inside the cabinet. Check in and check out were smooth and easy. Friendly staff. Location is good. There's a nice Indian restaurant within walking distance, the briyani is to die for. Some of the downsides are: 1/ basement parking space is too tight for a normal size car. Big cars would have difficulty to park or even manoeuvre in basement parking area. We're allowed to park at the open back alley, reserved for the hotel customers. 2/ The queen size bed is squeaky. Perhaps the hotel could consider replacing it with a more solid bed frame. 3/ You have to climb up some stairs to check-in at the register counter. If you have lots of heavy luggage, it's going to be challenging to bring your bags up. Overall, love this hotel. Would stay again anytime.
