Merica Hotel (Chengdu Chunxi Road)

Basic but Comfortable – Good for a Quick Stay This hotel is quite small and offer basic amenities, but it serves its purpose well if you’re just looking for a place to sleep. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the location was convenient. I It’s not ideal if you’re planning to spend a lot of time at the hotel, but for a short stay or an overnight stop, it gets the job done. Simple, quiet, and affordable.

Merica Hotel Chengdu is a very small hotel, but it served its purpose for us. We chose it mainly for its location, as it is within walking distance of the airport bus counter. We only stayed for one night after arriving on a midnight flight. It’s a convenient option for a short stay, but don’t expect much beyond the location advantage.

Great hotel, super friendly staff. A nice lobby with a microwave and some noodles/sodas for sale. And washing machines for clothes that can be used by guests. Projector in the roof. And good linen. A little squishy pillows.

Too much of the smell of smoke and cigarettes even if you’re in a non-smoking room. But the staff was nice and the location is very central.

I absolutely love this Chengdu stay. I had an extra ordinary good experience with this boutique hotel: Excellent locations, convenience, clean, helpful, and friendly staff. I am impressed with their supportive service and they maintain high standard of hygiene and tidiness to my room during my stay for 9 consecutive nights, excellent service attitude, especially the team of staff at housekeeping. Highly recommend to everyone who is looking for clean room, great location and good service hotel. Kudos to the front desk team especially 小张，希希，小叶。All stuff very warm and attentive and helpful It has been a great experience and definitely will return again!

Cleaniness a bit lacking as there were stains in our toilet. Also lots of garbage under the bed. Amenities. Its got all the necessary, except no free slippers. Cost is 30rmb for it. Night time the room feels a bit gloomy, but day time looks bright and feels good. Air conditioner in summer super cold if you like that. Walls seem a bit moldy maybe because of the weather. Room is quite small, but that is the sacrifice for staying near chunxi pedestrian area. Location is about 15 minutes walking to Chunxi pedestrian area for shopping and eating. Relative value id ok, the price is about right for the location but not that comfortable or clean. Service is normal for checkin and checkout. Quick and easy.
