The location is great and the common areas are very nice but there are no showers in every floor and there was a weird smell in the room

Room : clean but basic, lacks stuff to hang your clothes Location : really centric, it is possible to walk to a lot of spots, plus there is a large selection of restaurants nearby Commodities : clean showers but the toilets were dirty most of the time Staff : helpful, especially as they speak English Average value for money but would still recommend for budget backpackers

Really enjoyed the evening activities organised by the hostel, could meet other travellers. Had a nice reception area with mahjong and pool Only 2 showers between all the dorms so sometimes waiting, and the cold water when showering smelt of sewage. My bed had another person's shorts making me question if it had been cleaned? But near the temple, and the walk from the nearest metro stop has a market which is nice, also near the panda bus bus stop. Also the room has AC (even though listed as without)

It was cosy, but the door to the room has a gap in it so you can hear everything that goes on in the corridor, and the bathroom is literally right next door, so I was woken up several times by people using the toilet in the middle of the night or even using the sink outside to hack their phlegm up into, which was quite unpleasant. There are also only 2 female showers but 4 males, so I had to queue for a shower even though the men’s ones were empty. And the showers are on the top floor which is semi-outside, so it gets too cold for the winter. The location is good though, and it’s a friendly place.

Excellent hostel! Was here for CNY and host made us free food and dumplings - thanks!! :) Rooms small ish but comfortable, nice rooftop area and social downstairs area, hot showers. The location is a bit far from the centre

Very clean, twin bed room was fairly small but comfy and the corridor was not soundproof. Limited storage space in the room. The hostel has a large common area with lots of tables to work at. Location is ok but only a few shops and restaurants nearby, however it’s quick to Didi anywhere else in the city. Reception staff were very helpful. The hostel has a list of weekly events that take place, we didn’t join but I didn’t get the impression that it’s particularly social based on the other guests we saw?

I was here only for one night. There was a pleasant administrator at the reception who spoke english. And by the way, quite a lot of foreigners in the hostel, the atmosphere is pleasant and cozy. There was a four-bed room with clean linen, a comfortable mattress and a pillow. A room with a magnetic key and a safe with a lock. There is a supermarket and noodles next to the hostel. Cons: A little dirty ceiling in the room and someone's ownerless things are scattered everywhere.

Hostel is at a very convenient location in Chengdu. The atmosphere is convivial and the shared rooms are cozy. Our room was frugal and not that cozy. The shared bathroom could be cleaner. The washing amenities are not ideal as there is no good spot to dry your clothes and the hostel in general is a bit damp on rainy days. Service was helpful, english-speaking and very friendly, though not everything was great. We had booked a room with a window and when we arrived, found out that the window was only towards the building. We had a water leakage the first night and the reception directly offered us a new room, with a real window this time. Overall, we had a nice experience and met some great people, though the comfort and facilities of the hostel could be improved.

A lovely old building, well decorated but very worn and still needs some repairs. The share bathrooms are really not adequate. It's great staying in a hostel though. I got a lot of help from staff and their walking tour was the best I've ever done. The cleaning staff work very hard and do a great job where they can, but it must be difficult for them. There is a kitchen you can use too. Lots of places to eat in the area and Chengdu’s food is so good you probably won’t want to cook.

There are some restaurants near the hostel. Overall during winter quite cold even with the heater on. They no longer have electric warm blankets. But the staff provided me an additional blanket. Shared bathroom facility. There is a water fountain also with hot water.

I really loved this hostel! The staff are extremely helpful, kind, friendly, and patient. And fluent in English or equipped with a dope translator machine! The layout is great, with common spaces on the main floor (with AC), a pool table, diverse bookshelf, and laundry machine. On the top floor are the toilets, showers, an open-sky “terrace”, and plenty of space to hang laundry. The hostel is kept clean. When I was there it was a great ‘Mix’ (ha ha!) of foreign and Chinese travellers. I met a lot of new, inspiring friends and bumped in to two friends I had made in other countries! Small world! Lovely vibes :) Thank you to all of the Mix staff for having me, you really made me feel welcome and taken care of during my time in Chengdu. I love you! See you again!
