Sheraton Chengdu Lido Hotel

Pathetic excuse for a hotel. Why is it called Sheraton is a mystery. This is at most a 3 star hotel. It's way too expensive for what they offer. Rooms Very very small, just like a 7 days inn or hunting hotel. No soundproofing, you can hear people from the hallway and other rooms. We called the hotel before coming to make sure we have a bathtub, they said we have, when we got here they said we don't. They lied to us. The manager wouldn't even come to talk to us. I would have rebooked the room to have one with the bathtub if they had told us the truth. Very unprofessional service. The receptionist Luna has no experience, every answer she gave was I don't know, she's quite rude and just laughs at guests' faces. Also we just came from Chongqing Sheraton hotel and were never charged the deposit, but Chengdu Sheraton charges the deposit. The deposit should be returned upon the check-out which didn't happen, Luna said she'll do it later. Shameless. Swimming pool The temperature of the pool room is 15 degrees, the same as outside, freezing cold. Why would anyone swim in this cold risk catching a cold? The pool is shallow, 1.2m deep and relatively small. Breakfast The only bright light in this hotel. Good variety of dishes, great management staff. Very nice. We arrived on new year eve day, you ruined our Spring festival.

I recently stayed at the Sheraton Cheng Du and had a wonderful experience, largely thanks to Sarah at the front desk. From the moment I checked in, she was incredibly welcoming and helpful. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and well-located.

Travelled to Chengdu see the Pandas and have a bot of a look around the city. The hotel is right next to the metro station- with only one change needed to Chengdu East Railway Station (about 20mins). It takes about an hour to get to Tianfu Airport, with one changed needed. Not much in the local area, but with the metro so close it's no big deal. The executive area is a nice place to chill out in the evenings. It's a shame they don't do breakfast up there as the main restaurant, although nice, is a very busy. As part of Happy Hour (5.30-7.30pm), there is a good selection of complimentary hot and cold food in the evening (Chinese and Western) along with a limited selection of alcoholic (beer and wine) and soft drinks.  The room I had was large and comfortable. Lots of space to chill out. There was some construction noise from the nearby building site, even when on the 27th floor.  The fitness area is quite small. The pool is about 16m long, which is just about big enough for swimming although you're doing lots of turns! Definitely recommended if you want a bit luxury (the executive level stuff and bigger room) whilst keeping an eye on the budget...

Everything is good, except got a lots of tourist groups.

Both front and back of the house were great. Great location with easy access to underground. Just the noise, not good in sound proof.

Great hotel, great service, excellent rooms. They provided us with a perk of using the exclusive floor on the top of the building, where they have a snacks and beverages and a happy hour with food, because we had a family suite. Very well located and very nice amenities. Very much recommended.
