We stayed here for 3 nights while in Chengdu, and this is a cute modern hotel in a great location (walkable to multiple different lines, close to Kuanzhai Alley ~10min walk, and close to tons of great hot pot). The rooms are quite small, but sort of a cozy "pod" feel, which we enjoy. There are buttons near the bed to control the lights and shades, which is nice, and a bidet in the bathroom! We initially chose the City View but the street in front is quite busy / noisy with cars, so we opted for the ones facing inward (though it is just an alley, not much of a sight, so kept curtains drawn). Though they told us it was non-smoking, there was a pretty dominant smoke smell in our room initially, and often in the elevators. Their breakfast buffet is decent, and can't beat it for the price (only about $5 USD per person). What really irked me and my family was at checkout, the front desk person was very pushy for us to immediately leave a 5-star review IN FRONT OF HER. My parents and I were trying to hail us a taxi, and she handed me a very cheap-looking panda headband (like a child's craft project), and was like, "Please leave us a 5-star review!" to which I replied, "Ok, I will do it when I get home" (since I did not have the Trip.com app on my phone, and also we are actively trying to get to the airport currently?..). Then, she just stood there next to me and kept bringing it up, and then my mom tried to shoo her away by saying I couldn't understand Chinese (lol), and then she brings a headband for my mom, and was like, "Will you please help her leave a 5-star review for us right now?" We kept asking her why it needed to be immediately right there, and there was no answer. We ultimately just handed her the headbands and told her to please let us be. Anyways, makes me question some of the 5-star reviews here.
