In my life I have never seen this type of hotel, Chennai is my home town also, I booked this hotel room to meet my business clients discussions, when I was checked in alone, during checking in I informed the receptionist later I will have guests to meet me,
They said the guests were not allowed to go inside the room , only we had to sit down in the lobby only,
I came here to close my business deals, how can I open my laptop top in the open place and sign the contract documents, more over we have to do cash transaction also,
This type of management system made me fed up ,
I am Very disappointed about this hotel.

New woodlands hotel is centrally located and has ample car parking and a good restaurant. We had a large deluxe room with a small sitting room. Clean fresh bed linen, plenty of storage, good locker and tea/coffee facility. No complaints at all except for the reception staff who were surly and abrupt to talk to. Highly recommended hotel

Room was clean and well furnished and huge. It's an old building and undergoing renovations. Only negative was the room directly next door was going through a full renovation and there was quite a lot of drilling and hammering through the day and we had to request thrice for them to stop.

Woodlands is centrally located. I have stayed there 15 years ago- but the hotel has not been updated, since then. At least the rooms need to be better to compete in today’s times

Good to stay, very good axis to all market places and near to marina beach. Tasty south and north indian food.

Ok rooms, they give old block room for online and hence not great. Service is good, food is good. 2 hr extension obtained

Location is very good. Food is also very good. Overall stay is good charge of mineral water one litre is rs 50- bathrooms should have been more hygienic and hotel should have provided some basic toileteries

As usual it's an old world fame hotel, tidy and good south indian food. The service staff serve you with a smile
