Polo Orchid Resort Cherrapunjee

My stay at Polo Orchid Hotel in Cherrapunji was a mixed experience. Welcome - While the initial welcome was cordial, the subsequent interactions with the staff, particularly Mary, were less than satisfactory. Her rude and dismissive attitude was a contrast to the warm hospitality one expects from a hotel of this caliber. She was not ready to understand our problems. Rooms - The biggest disappointment was the condition of the room we were initially assigned. For a hefty price of 18,000 rupees per night, the broken wooden flooring was a major safety hazard. Though we were exhausted, we couldn't ignore such a glaring issue. Thankfully, Pradeep from housekeeping was understanding and promised to rectify the situation. Resolution - The following day, we were shifted to a much more comfortable and modern room, thanks to the kind intervention of the front desk manager, Radium. To our surprise, Pradeep had even decorated the room, making it a pleasant retreat after the initial ordeal. The hotel's redeeming features were the exceptional service provided by Jacob from the restaurant and Somnath from the spa. Their dedication and professionalism helped restore our faith in the brand and left us with a positive impression. My Final Verdict- Overall, while the Polo Orchid Hotel has the potential to offer a memorable stay, our experience was marred by inconsistencies in the service and the initial room condition, the hotel needs to address the shortcomings to ensure a consistently satisfying experience for all its guests.

Experience was not bad. But very too much cost effective. Room tariff unnecessarily too much higher.Location of the hotel is beautiful. Staffs are well behaved, Restaurant, SPA other logistics support was really very good.We enjoyed a beautiful time.

I really liked the ambience and the view from my Stay ( Misty Mountain Villa) with a private pool. Pool doesn’t have lights so enjoy your pool before Sunset :) Food was awesome and better than that was the hospitality of the Staff ( Super attentive ) P.S. You don’t need a table ring bell Most of my orders were serviced by Anthony and Jacob Anthony also suggested few local attractions Highly recommend this stay here

Extremely greedy , old, un maintained dirty, unhygienic resort. Pictures in website are fake glamorous and all electronic inventories are repaired every tym we use it. Insects in complimentary cookies and cashews. Rates are exorbitant and non trustworthy. They keep changing rates. Landscape, entry gate , restaurant gives you sad feel. Dirty and old. We paid 33k/ day per room. It was not worth 10k. Infinity pool is full of insects algae. Spa is soiled and dirty. All bed sheets ,etc are used and very old. Buffet breakfast is not upto the class. Very cheap quality. We felt sad after reaching there. Reception itself is so small and old. Difficult to get a glass of water at reception. Jiwa resort is much much better than this in all aspects.

We are just back in Mumbai and we still miss your resort which is heavenly and beautiful its location & design make it more like heaven and as it said material things can not make things beautiful, it is the human touch that makes the material things look and feel like heaven the people /staff who take care of this heaven makes this place more BEAUTIFUL AND LOVEABLE………Our beautiful experience with some of the loveable team members ; • Mr. Pawan - Who was so supportive and softly spoke to arrange my daughter's birthday arrangements in her room with CUTE decoration. • Mr. Augustine and the Team made my Daughter's Birthday CAKE and presented it in a restaurant on the birthday evening and a small beautifully decorated cute Pestri for a mid-night birthday cake cut. • The Live Singing Team at the restaurant was so good at singing and their VOICES were sweet and enjoyable … We will never forget the song sung by them… they are really really good all of them …. We appreciated their gesture of singing special. Birthday song for my daughter that evening. • Mr. Pujari/Pujara …. The Manager of the Spa and adviser to us for double Decore living root bridge tracking TIPS for successful completion. He was quite good in guiding us very well for the double Decore bridge tracking/trek. Overall, it was LOVELY MEMORIES we carried back to Mumbai, and hope to see you guys sometime again. Overall the hotel is very good.you can spend your special time there. Room is very nice. But one thing the bed should be more proper n ther bathroom the water is not going properly may be it can be in specific room. Staffs are very good n well behaved. Room decorations also very nice. SITALIN is very good girl. She is friendly. Those who r sang the song it's really awesome.I don't no the names of those singers but it's really awesome. Pool is nice where from you can see the seven sisters falls... It's a awesome scenery. Gaming zone is there. Food is awesome. One thing from the hotel for travellers should be pick up n drop system at least from bus stop.. Thank u..

stay was good and location was good but no play area for kids and staff are not trained and many issues . It is highly overpriced and it is not value for money. Food was ok and no provacy and lot of hussle and bustle in hotel. It is just like normal good cottage hotel.

Beautiful ambience and place to be Food was nice with live music. The view from the room were amazing. We booked the premium rooms, view from the room was mesmerizing superb. Pool was good, view from the pool was just breathtaking. Hospitality was good

A beautiful location perhaps the best in Cherrapunji. Rooms are comfortable. Food is excellent. Evening live band with bonfire makes your stay memorable. Staffs are wonderful. A must visit. You can easily spend two nights watching clouds dancing and rains mesmerising.
