Grosvenor Place Guest House

Our two nights at Grosvenor Place Guest House were excellent. Our room was nicely decorated, clean, warm, spacious with a comfortable bed and lovely high ceilings. It had all the amenities we needed for our stay and was so close to town. Alison was a super host. We wouldn't hesitate to return. Thank you GPGH.

Stayed here for the first time in February, can't fault it at all!Host Alison was very friendly and acomodating. The room was everything we wanted modern, clean,warm and it even had a fridge. The location was very central for attractions but very quiet at night. We are already looking forward to our stay at the Grosvenor Guesthouse in November 2025 John and Glenda Pinder

One of the worst places we have ever stayed . They give a really good impression of the place and communication good before you get there . When you get there,the place and beds are in a poor state . They were so bad that I took my girls out of there as we wouldn't let them sleep on the bed sette that it was so bad . Tried everything to speak with them and they wrote no apology or anything,still have had no response now . They wouldn't even respond to *********** . They ruined everything for my daughters graduation as we were really looking forward to a nice place to stay ...as was advertised but isn't.

Hidden gem within Chester walls. Clean, welcoming with comfy beds. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Really good value for money. Parking is a 2 minute walk away is only £5 per night. Very shirt walk to restaurants, bars and shopping. Thank you David and Allison

The location is absolutely fantastic you are on the doorstep of Chester City Center and there’s parking less than a five minute walk away. Our room was well designed , very practical and very cosy and warm, we even had chocolates left on our bed, fresh milk and water in the fridge on arrival. Thank you Alison for being so welcoming and making us feel at home (not mentioning the football though). Fantastic place to stay , highly recommend and we will be returning. Matthew and Emma

Well, where to begin! A long story, but we had to re-arrange a previous stay and to say that Alison and David, the owners of this gem of a hotel, went above and beyond to help us would be an understatement to say the least. They are lovely people, hugely helpful, prompt responding, kind, thoughtful and they made what has been a pretty hard few months for us an absolute treat during our stay. The hotel is perfect - so central it is hard to be anymore central, spotlessly clean, individual rooms with a fridge, complimentary fresh milk, plus the facilities you'd expect but rarely find - quality biscuits - Lotus Biscoff! - proper fluffy towels, nice toiletries, a choc each on the bed, spacious room and bags of character. Parking is nearby, very nearby actually, and a wealth of city centre eateries and pubs to choose from, most visible from the window! This in itself is enough to want to stay, but the hosts really make it special and although we live only 30 mins away from Chester, we now want to come back and stay again for a few nights to really explore this lovely city as tourists not shoppers and semi-locals - using this hotel as our home from home base of course! Thank you Alison and David, we loved our stay!
