Beautiful place and fantastic hospitality from warm, friendly owners, who have considered and provided everything their guests might need. The rooms are lovely and incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic. Staying at Ribbonwood was a very special experience and we’d love to go back.

The Ribbonwood Country House is a real treat! Gary & Robert are natural hosts and much care is given by them to ensure one has a comfortable and relaxing stay. The highlight for us (aside from the wonderful view) was supper. Delicious and beautifully presented food. We couldn't recommend highly enough:-)

Robert and Gary made us feel very welcome for our relaxing two night getaway (check out their website to book direct for a multi-night discount). Their property is lovely, and very well maintained. Although Cheviot is currently a little limited for dinner options, I recommend Gary's fine dining standard cooking. The spa pool on a clear night offers wonderful views of the Milky Way (as well as a few planes and shooting stars on our night) and on a rainy afternoon we were able to relax in the well appointed bedroom and lounge. Yes, it is as picturesque as the website shows.

I’ve been lucky enough to stay at Ribbonwood Country House on several occasions and I can honestly say each visit has been as perfect as the last. The delightful and welcoming hosts and their attention to detail on all levels, combined with the beautiful scenery, very comfortable home and delicious food, make any stay a wonderful experience.

This was our second visit to Ribbonwood Country House and it was every bit as good as we remembered. The setting is absolutely gorgeous, we had a lovely room and the food was fantastic. Gary and Robert are delightful hosts. Thoroughly recommend.
